Hi can anyone who has attended the oath ceremony share their experience?

My oath ceremony is on July 1st in Barrie Ontario and im very nervous for it. What documents you ACTUALLY have to take with you?

If you can please kindly share your experience that would be great.

Thanks.

Dear Readers,
Just wondering how many people in this forum have been waiting for oath letter for six months and plus, particular the pre-Test RQed ones.
This may be very few right now, but I believe the number will increase in the coming months.
Hope for the best.

My oath ceremony was yesterday (Oshawa). Nothing to be nervous about ! Relax!

You have to bring the documents mentioned in the oath letter: The original oath letter, Signed oath document (which comes with the oath letter), PR Card and Immigration document (IMM 5292) /or other immigration document which is applicable to you (stated in oath letter), Passport, ID proof, Holy book (optional).

Registration begins by verifying the oath letter, surrendering the PR card, verifying the immigration document (IMM 5292)/passport.

You will be asked to be seated according to your number in the oath letter (stated at right corner bottom of the venue address). Once seated, the CIC official will briefly explain the process of ceremony. We had a bagpiper marching along with RCMP constable, followed by judges and other guests. Will be given a short speech by judge, then administered oath by raising the right hand (we got to take both in french and English language !). They watch carefully if you are actually speaking the words...... !! Then you will be called individually by name to take the citizenship certificate and shake hands with Judge and others. Then there will be a concluding speech by the judge and the ceremony will be officially closed. You would also sing the National Anthem. Then you can head to socializing area where you can request for photographs with judge and others.

There would be some snacks and drinks (coffee/tea) !

Enjoy and relax
