Oath Letter waiting timelines

how long does it usually take to receive the Oath letter after the test? Please do share your experience.

I took and passed the test 2 days ago. I was told to expect for oath-taking letter to arrive within 4 to 6 months.

It varies from office to office. Mississauga is one of the fastest, so you should receive your oath letter much sooner.

Did anyone who took the test together with you get an oath letter right after the interview? Or everyone was told that their letters would be mailed later?

thank you for your reply. Yes, they did give the oath letter to the test takers who had their test in this morning before noon. As for all our group they said that the oath letter would be mailed to us sometime in 4-6 weeks time.

That's a long wait... Wonder why it's taking them so long to schedule the oath? What else do they need to check after the interview and all the background checks done?

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 15, 2011.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 15, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on November 22, 2012.

4. Letter to write citizenship test on the 24/09/2013 received on the 10/09/2013

Passed test, and told everything was fine; just wait for oath letter. And wait it is...
