@chikki282 @DouglasDylane Did you both complete eMedicals? The system's really quick once they upload via eMedical, so I'd assume the physician hasn't uploaded or has weird processes. I completed an eMedical and it was only uploaded on a Saturday (23rd) but was updated on Monday (25th) so in reality that's CIC checking the results when they were back in on Monday and updating it.
100% sure it's eMedical, they took his pic and everything. However, when we check if case has been submitted on their website, it comes with this message:

Your immigration medical case is not submitted. We usually take 7-10 days to complete and submit your immigration medical file. If you have any questions, please call the medical office during business hours.

So we'll be waiting up til Friday for a response. But my concern is the same as @DouglasDylane, I just don't want there to be some problem with my husband health wise. I know he can have higher than normal blood pressure but even the doctor said it's nothing to worry about so no idea if there's anything else to think about, you know?

You literally can't fail the spousal medical unless you have active TB or HIV/AIDS, then you might find yourself in a spot of trouble.

Worrying for nothing - sucks that it's slow but you can't fail the medical anyway so I wouldn't stress about results
You know what, I am so anxious about it I totally forgot I couldn’t be refused because of it.
Thanks for reminding me!
Would be nice to have an update to get the app moving tho.

Also, chronic kidney disease and such things that can drain the Canadian Government of funds, yes I'm aware.

But I'm not worried about my husband failing the medical exam, I actually care about his health as diabetes runs in his family and whatnot. Also, I'm more worried that if there is something he needs to come in for to discuss with the doctor, he will not be here as he's going back to England on Monday which coincidentally is the 30 day mark of when we got the medical request.

I hope I am thinking too much and it will go through tomorrow like I'm hoping.

No - spousal medical isn't subject to excessive demand. Chronic kidney disease example would not apply here in the same way it would in other streams.

You are thinking about it too much, try not to stress.

Apologies to yourself and @DouglasDylane if I caused any panic there. I was more referring to the laid back manner in which some physicians seem to submit the medicals. You'll both be fine, it's just a pain trying to be patient in this process.

Hi @JoshC

You said you are from the North of England, does that mean you got your medical done at MedMigration in Manchester?

My husband went there yesterday, just wanted to see how long it took for your change in GCKEY/ECAS from the day you received your medical?

Kind regards,

Sarah

So I get an e-mail saying I have a message. I got this in GCKey.

It's literally the first notice. And they act like they've been requesting it. Not only that, I hate that they requested more proof when I sent like 20 pages (only because they limit it to 20). If they want proof, I got thousands of pages worth.

They all say the same thing. My representative said the same, then she was like I cannot access my account and later she changed her statement to you application is locked. She never checked for any update, she said she never received any email including the medical one and I wasted one week to get the medical letter. I finally removed my representative two weeks back. I feel so relaxed now that all the updates will come to me and not to these stupid representatives.
Whoa, looks like as if we both are on the same page except for removing the representative part. Was removing the representative a tedious/lengthy process? I am afraid, if by doing so, it will delay the processing of my spousal application. Since you've got access to your GCKey, do you see any differences in updates between GCKey vs ECAS?

Yes I went to MediMigration in Manchester, I completed mine on a Friday but they had to wait for an extra test so it was uploaded on Saturday. GCKEY stayed Medical passed on Monday afternoon.

Not really, you just need to fill out the representative form - asking to remove your representative and appoint yourself as the new representative (If you want else only your spouse can call IRCC and check for updates).

Try to link the application, it will say you have a Representative and you cannot access the application. Then in the second line it will say that you can remove the representative by filling out the form provided below. You just have to download, fill the form, sign it (yours and your spouse) and upload it. The moment you do that the application will link to your account instantly and within 3-7 days they will remove your representative from the file as well.

Also, this does not slow down the application.

That's odd that they would send a letter like that but at least you received it in time!

I'm glad I submitted more than I needed to in the end...but why only ask for 20 pages if they needed more anyway?

No worry for me at all, not all medical offices act the same. Clearly the medical office you went to are much more efficient than the one my husband went to here in Toronto but as long as it gets done eventually is what matters to me most!

I should think so with the prices I had to pay :p
