Decision made! Yahoo!

We received a letter asking for a copy of the PA's passport etc!

I am just confused about one thing... whether or not we need to submit new photos. We submitted the application to Sydney, and then it got transferred and processed in Mississauga. So I think that yes, we need to send photos,,, BUT this last email came from Vienna. Does that mean the whole package got transferred there?

Thanks for all the help!
Congrats!! Please share your timeline. I'm the PA living in Germany and my file got transferred to Vienna too, in early February. I have completed my medical iN January and also gave my biometrics in mid- February. No update since then.
Congrats!!!! We're also living in Germany (both sponsor and PA) and were transferred to Vienna just over a week ago. Would love to see your timelines too!

EDIT: Oh whoops, in my excitement I overlooked where you said you were transferred to Mississauga rather than Vienna. Our timelines probably aren't as comparable then!

@gercan - Did you get any kind of AOR2 from Vienna / do you have the line 2 on eCAS about the application being processed yet?

Have you not had AOR2 yet? No line 2 for me yet either :(

No, nothing (or do you mean @gercan?), but since we were only transferred last Monday I kinda think it's still too early to expect. One of the most recent people in the Vienna office thread had her line 2 appear around 10 days after she got the transfer notification (and then the date itself in eCAS was actually retroactive to something like 2 days after the transfer notification).

I would have thought you'd have something by now since you were transferred a couple weeks before me, but then again CPC-M also seems to work in totally mysterious ways. Have you noticed whether other people who were transferred there in your batch are regularly getting the line 2?

Hi--
I am applying from the US and planning to move to Montreal. Things in my application seem to be moving quickly, so quickly that the Montreal documents are holding everything else up. I don't remember the exact timeline, but I received notice to apply for the CSQ in Montreal in mid-Feb and then waffled a bit getting it put together properly, so that I didn't send it out the CSQ application until late-Feb. I then mailed the application standard certified mail and got a notice on 3/12 that the application was received in Montreal. In the meantime CIC sent me notice that my CSQ needed to be in by 3/30 or I need to contact them with proof as to why the documentation won't be in. I'm not sure how long the processing in Montreal takes, but I know that the fee has not been withdrawn from my bank account yet and I don't know how the CSQ is sent to Mississauga (I'll send whatever I get when I receive it, but I'm hoping there's communication between CIC and MIDI as well). Anyway, my real question is how I can alert Mississauga of the situation beyond writing a letter with photocopies of my mail receipt. Is that my only option? Thanks.

There’s 18 of us in total for November on the tracker (CPC-M transfers), four have PPR, 10 have additional document requests (so they’re working on their applications), one I can’t get hold of as they don’t have their username here and then there’s 3 of us who are from visa exempt countries with little contact since the transfer - I’m the only one without line 2 though.

I called before and they said that my background check is completed but my elgibility hasn’t started yet... just got to wait I suppose eh!

Argh! My theory (of many...) is that they assign application files in small chunks/batches to officers, which is why they sort of generally follow the same timelines, but not exactly. If your officer is getting slowed by a couple of complicated ones, it ends up delaying you too. I'm sure your eligibility will go lightning quick once they actually get to it, though, and you'll make up the difference. At the end of the day, CPC-M is still processing things at an insane pace, so it's really all relative. (Also, love your stat-based answer, as always! :p)

I’m pretty sure I read something the other day about GCMS notes and a batch number being assigned to the application. Not sure if it’s just associated with PPR or not and I’m on my phone so digging for the links is a nightmare... @kcward7 any ideas on batches/groups?

Edit: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/gcms-notes-issued-post-ppr-observation-and-analysis.482478/

That was it... Google prevailed! :p

I'm positive this is the way it's done. It also explains why applications received later sometimes move faster. It depends on officer efficiency and workload. They are not processed in a strictly chronological order despite so many people believing that. I think in GCMS it's group name and number or something like that which eludes to batching.
