Our application was received on the 17th of November according to the courier's proof of delivery.
Still waiting for AOR.

Got our AOR yesterday (28th Jan). Application received 5th November. Hope SA isn't too far behind given its been 84 days!

Thank you Mrs.Grenadian. I pray so that you get your visa soon. I applied in Jan 2013. We did a terrible mistake because we didn't call CIC. We thought CIC sometimes request passport without sending AOR or SA and we didn't call CIC. We just kept waiting. End of August in 2014 we called CIC. CIC said we have to resend application again and some incomplete documents. This why we had to apply again. It's my little sad story.

Just curious, didnt they contact you saying the file is incomplete?

No they didn't call. If you see below of Processing Times: Family Sponsorship step 1 then you can see that CIC wrote a Notes for sponsorship OUTSIDE of Canada : If you are the sponsor and live inside Canada and it has been longer than the time shown above since you applied, please contact the Call Centre.

Yes but usually if you don't hear back for the first stage which is currently 85 days (it must have been lower when you applied) the sponsor will contact the CIC and they will look into that.

So when you had applied in Jan 2013 say the first stage took 45 days the sponsor should have contact the CIC Feb end 2013.
But I am surprised that CIC didnt contact you cause usually if the file is incomplete they will return on the entire package or send you an email or letter asking for the missing document.

Was your final returned and did you have to start from scratch?

The application should be forwarded to VO in Rome.

Hey all. Just out of interest, does anyone have the number for the CIC call centre that I can call from outside of Canada? I live in NZ and all the numbers I try fail. Has anybody had any luck?
