I was able to check the status on ecas two days after my AOR on 15th Jan. I am waiting for my SA, which they have send by post on 22nd Jan.

It says that a decision has been made and we have send you a letter on 22nd Jan. Hopefully its the SA, as some of the Oct. applicants have got the SA in post.

I just checked ecas, and I now have access but it still says : Application Received


Anybody else with only AOR can check Ecas??

I have received SA Yesterday through email and AOR on the 22nd January 2015, I was able to check ecas after 1 day of receiving AOR but the ecas still says application received.

Since we are talking about ECAS, I have a question that some of you might be able to answer.
When you check the status of your application on ECAS, do you check using the sponsor's name or the person being sponsored? are they two different ones or just one for the two people?
I am the sponsor and I can only check using my husband's name and F000000000 number (application number). When I use the UCI number I have and my name, I get an error message
Am I making any sense?

ok, never mind... as per today I can access MY own application on ECAS using the UCI number as well (I am the sponsor). It says the same thing as my husband's: APPLICATION RECEIVED.
I guess I will have to check again in a few minutes to see if we got SA!

The person who got AOR and had their application received nov 27 said this:

"Just Got AOR finally!

I had sent my app in october but they asked for a form again, even if we don't know why they asked for it but anyways.
they got the for on november 27th and not I got AOR"

meaning they are october applicants that had to send in more forms. they are not november applicants! don't worry.

I sent my app on oct 8th and got a request of a new form on nov 25th and they go the new form on nov 27th. I just got AOr on the 24th of this month. So it looks like 2 months more i had to wait because of that

Thanks Fab, i saw you were the same case, it's terrible i already had to wait more than the normal 45 days but well it was my fault since i didn't send the marriage certificate onle the one they gave us the day we got married, but we already sent the marriage certificate yesterday, i'll call on monday to ask if they got it. Do you think they will know if they got it?

most likely no, wait atleast a good 3 weeks before they can tell you they got it.
I sent my form on nov 27th. around Christmas they told me that my app was now complete and I had to wait like a Nov 27th applicant.

now on the 24th I just got AOR, we'll see when I get S/A but maybe I am not considered a november 27th applicant... but still lost about 2 months in time...

The only way I can track whether they received my application is through the postal tracking here in New Zealand. It says it reached the destination on November 3. I am hopeful that it didn't sit around in the 'inbox' too long; however, given I have not heard anything yet I am getting rather concerned........anyone else in the same boat?

Have you tried putting the tracking number on canada post website? once it reaches Canada, canada post continues the tracking sometimes

Nope I have not received my SA as of yet. Will give it til Monday. Everyone should remember that the times are all estimates. Everyone's application and situation are different, everyone has sent in different amounts of information (mine weighed 10 lbs). Plus we all have different Immigration officers going through our applications and each officer is different some are pickier than others. Who knows how many officers there are...
As much as we MISS our loved ones (more than miss) we just need to be patient...I know,...it's easy to say...
