Same boat here too. Ours will be expiring on october 24. Our status is decision made. Were waiting for the PPR. Could u pls keep us updated on your plans if you're going to apply for bridging work permit or extension. Thank you

Yes, I plan to apply online today. My PNP officer said not to wait till the last minute. So, I am going to go ahead and apply for extension today. Worse case scenario, I will lose $410 for application which is better than jeopardizing my status.

If I were you I would wait for few more days before applying for work permit. Decision is of course yours ultimately.
Reason: my work permit was expiring last December and I only applied a week before it expired for a new work permit. I got a new one in 2 weeks. You should be getting PPR anytime soon. Good Luck

I know a fellow who used to be in same boat as you. He had DM on his application and his permit was almost expiring. He applied for extension but rather grant him the extension, CIC sent him Passport Request email instead. He has done his flagpole-ing. But I wouldn't know if he was able to retrieve the application fee he had already paid for the permit extension. But then does it matter anymore?

I know, one of my friend also had the same case. Her application was returned stating that she was granted PR and would receive a PPR request soon. Her fees for WP extension was not reimbursed.

That is the reason why I would like to wait a few more days but at the same time looking at some May applicant who did not get PPR even after 2 months from DM makes me unsure what to do. Anyway , I will wait till the August 1 and see.

Hello friends any nov 11,12,13 applicants got ip or dm, still med received.Plz somebody advise me what should i have to do. I got req for rprf and pcc. I sent pcc and paid rprf in the month of may. After that in th june i also sent email to sydney and ottawa for my file and i got mail from ottawa they said, we got your pcc and rprf receipts but still waiting for response

It is only important to apply before your old wp expires and u can wait up till a week or so before that happens to apply for a new one. As soon as you apply (even though your old wp will expire lets sey in a week or 10 days) you will be in an implied status until your either pr or new wp comes and you will still be able to work with no problems.

My current wp is expiring at the end of the August and I still need to get the new support letter. I hope that maybe I will get COPR soon which will same me the application .
