No.. Mp said my background is still unpending
So i dont know if i have passes the eligibilty or not

They were good . Just call your local MP and ask them to
Inquire .. Its a very standard procedure
My MP said my background is unpending
But they werent sure if the eligibilty was
Passed or not....

Hi, nothing my told me they are still doing background check

Actually i called CIC n made a complaint
Few days after got a call from customer relation
They agent was very helpful . He said i cant tell you a specific time
But no news is good news .according to his experience
My case will be ok but when, no one can say...

Just call the CIC call center
N then made a complaint.it wont speed up your process
But might give an exact location of your file

I applied in November 2012 as well, my medical was sent on Dec 27th and rprf was paid on January 16th. I checked with cec and they said they are waiting for background check.

I am guessing everyone is going through the same?

Hi Zain,

I am also waiting for long time now. How did u come to know that immigration is waiting for ur background. Coz when I send an email to them its always a generic resp that application is in process.

No correspondence after that.....and my post-grad work permit expires in Aug 2014. My application is almost 3 months over the current processing time. I received a full-time job offer but it was rescinded because my work permit expires too soon. This wait is so frustrating...

Adeelwaris and zkazmi, what country are you guys from? That among other things will define how long your security screening will be.

Primary Applicant: Pakistan
Dependent: Sri Lanka (born and lived there for only 6 months)
Lived in Dubai until the age of 20 and then moved to Spain for further studies

So the security checks will be from Pakistan, Dubai and Spain....
