November 2012 Applicants Unite!

I agree.. and I have 3 little ones who are just all adorable, plus an older one who is Ms. Helpful!! I am hoping to get to the UK (where they all live) for a visit without hubby!! As for my family.. let's just say his family is much more accepting then mine. Which is surprising as his mom once said, "Don't ever bring home a white girl." And yet she tells me I am her favorite daughter in law! Haven't quite figured that one out yet, and I think we all are!! So my family is coming around, just a lot of things from the past make them hesitant.. can only hope when he is here and there are little ones they will embrace our family! If not, his family and their love and support is enough to keep us both going!

No movement on my case either... I wish I had got organised and sent everything in a week earlier, or waited a few weeks! Either way it seems things would be going quicker!

I already have a client ID number as I'm currently in Canada on a TWP so have been using that to check e-cas.... but no love from CIC yet.

I was thinking the same thing, should have mailed my application a week earlier, it seems that some agents were processing fairly quickly at that time, then it all slowed down and we're still waiting! Hopefully, we'll hear something soon. I tried to get in with my receipt number (I have paid all the fees) but can't get anything...it seems that nothing is in the system yet for us! I just hope they have our application!!!! I tried to call this PM but: "we're experiencing a high volume of calls....and then it cuts off". I'll try again tomorrow at 8am! hopefully, I'll get someone who knows something about our file. Fingers crossed! I hope all November applicants who are still waiting for stage 1 hear something soooooon!!

Hubby sounds like a sweet man. And I do beleive in time, when your mom sees how happy he makes you and that he is "serious" about you and your future, it is a good thing. I got really lucky. I have spent time with all of my immediate extended family. And seeing their unconditional acceptance and love just because Mr. M loves me, really warms my heart and makes me know my family will completely come around in time.

Same here! My side is not fond of the idea either... But my in laws are all about it! My parents understand I just think they're having a harder time letting go of their "baby girl" right now lol.... But I look at it this way, it gives them a place to go on vacation! I guess my family just doesn't understand the whole meeting online thing nowadays. It's funny cause we didn't meet on a dating site we met on this website called stickam and neither of us were looking but we found rah other and couldn't resist it was crazy and quite the experience drivi 12 hrs to Canada by myself but I'm so glad I did it it's good to know tht other people are in the same boat as me as fr as meeting on the Internet and having your parents not really approve. I wa scared immigration would look further into that bc they'd want to get to the bottom of why my parents werent okay with it. I love hearing others stories on how they met their loved ones!

That's my mother says I will always be her baby I think she is having a hard time letting me go. She will get over it sooner or later.

Hi There,
I'm in the same situation. Our application was received on Nov 28th by the CIC and we have not heard a word. I've called twice and finally got my client ID so I can see on the online status that they have received it. That time she told me not to pay attention to the number of days - only to the day they were at (Nov 20). But as of today's update they are now way overdue!
I tried to call today. After 15 mins on hold someone answered, asked me about my application, then said she would forward me to the right person. It rang and then an automated message came on saying that they were too busy to take my call, and it hung up. Really, they are setting up a situation to have very frustrated applicants! This is not acceptable. I have really exercised patience in the past 3 months... but now I'm starting to lose my cool

I'll try tomorrow morning early, hope to talk to a human being!! Hope we'll hear positive news SOON nzandcanada!! Kep us posted!

Not that I want to admit it, but there are cases where applications have been "misplaced" and the couple had to resubmit them. Let's hope that isn't that case for any of us still waiting!!

EDIT: Alex I just realized your not on the spreadsheet yet.. Can you let me know your VO, date of medicals done, and when you sent your application? Or if you don't want to be added.

We sent our application Nov. 20th, it arrived in Mississauga on the 21st.
My wife's medical was completed Sept. 19th,2012.

I quite enjoy the experience of hearing other people's expereince and journey to where they are today. We all have a story to tell!
