November 2012 Applicants Unite!

Hi everyone,

I just mailed off our application on Thursday - it is supposed to arrive in Mississauga on November 5th. I don't see another thread yet for November folks so I thought I'd start one!

I just returned to Canada (BC) after spending 4 years in California. My partner is still living and working in California. We are seriously hoping that waiting period will go quickly - she is hoping to move here in June, which will be 8 months away.

We did the paperwork all ourselves, without a lawyer, but did have some input and advice from friends who had recently gone through the process -- and from this forum, of course!

Looking forward to hearing from some others!

Yayyyyyy I was hoping someone would start a November applicant thread... We mailed off our application on Halloween from Hamilton, Ontario and it arrived in Mississauga Thursday night at exactly 8 13 PM .... Not sure if they are going to notify me someone that it was recieved. I guess some people get notified and some don't.

We did the same thing as you guys as well... Put it together all on our own, it was kind of fun to go through our entire relationship an do a brief recap on everything! It took months even though there was only a years worth of stuff to go through. But lots can happen in a year and for us that's definitely true! Good luck to you and all the rest of November applicants!! Can't wait to get that approval, processing times are really low now

CIC is quite unpredictable, so some people will get an AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt), sent by email, some won't hear anything before the approval ( that can come either by snail mail or by email)... but as you say - you definitely filed at the right time, as you have a little over a month to wait until you hear from CIC... if one of you has the skills, and is willing to keep it updated, I suggest you start a spreadsheet for november applicants so it's easier to keep track...

If you would like to update it but don't know how to create one, let me know - I created the one for August on behalf of one of the applicants, so I could create the november one for you and hand it over to somebody who can update it whenever something happens...

I can do it - but somebody would need to update it then, as I won't be able to keep up (I applied in April) - would you be responsible for the updates? not putting pressure on you of course, simple question!

Well now RM15 is in charge of it and the link will be available soon for all to see - I have already added the ones who posted on the forum, (so bscinto92, you're there already!), but for any addition, only RM15 will be able to do it.
