Hi all,
My wife recieved this mail today from the VO.
Ms. xxxxxxxxx,

This e-mail is in follow up to our correspondence of February 12 and your husband's e-mail below. Yes we are almost at the completion of the application process. Please submit your valid passport at the same time you drop off the birth certificate and photographs.
Guess I was right in assuming things were close to being completed.....Though they seem to be a bit behind in their correspondence as we delivered this stuff last wed, feb 13th. could be the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing ha ha ha...but good to know that they are on the case......Really surprising to recieve a mail that actually let us know that the process was almost complete.....Big congrats to the Buenos Aires VO for having a heart.... :)

thank you all and congrats william coates!
is anyone else going through the LA office? i wonder how quick they are in general

I am not sure about moving along....it has been almost 3 months since my application was received by CIC, and not a single word from them. And in addition, we are kept in the dark, call center agents won't even tell you if they have received your application or not. I know patience is a key, but 3 months for stage 1 is beyond my understanding, specially when some February applicants are getting AOR's and approvals!! Something is definitely not right.

Hello all!

Great news, william coates and bscinto92!! :)
Too bad London seems to be taking its time with the applications... so I'm guessing no speedy stage 2 for us :D

Alex_29: I understand, I had hoped they'd process the applications in order of arrival but it sure doesn't look like that. What date did CIC receive your application? I hope you'll hear from them soon, try to hang in there!!

Hi all, this is my first post on here. I'm so thankful for this site, it's a huge mental support for my wife and I.

We received notice that sponsorship is approved and that the application for PR HAS BEEN forwarded to our visa office in Ukraine.
Our E-CAS status says for permanent residence -"Application Received" (received Nov. 21 and medicals received) and for Sponsorship - "Decision Made".

My question is, will there be a status change when the file is received at the VO? Or will they send me something in writing/email?

CIC needs to change how they inform with ECAS. It says they received it, but they should specify the CPC received it.

Anyone can help?

I totally agree. It has been very stressful three months specially when you know they are processing applications received after Nov.
What's your timeline

Hello Dayver and Welcome!

If you would like to be added to the spreadsheet please let me know with your medical date. I am guessing your app was recieved Nov 21, when was it sent?

As for your question. I have not heard of an ecas status changing when the application is received at the VO. Some people get an AOR and some get nothing, it depends on the VO. You may get lucky and have something via email or post, but I would not be holding my breath for it! My hubby got an AOR from our VO, however we needed to re-send a form which was the only reason we got confirmation his application had been forwarded. Ecas is not reliable as some have not changed until after a visa has been issued.

If there is a Ukraine thread I would check that out and ask, as they would know what your VO usually does!

Hi guys,
Just to let you know the processing times have been updated....
21 days

Working on applications received on January 29, 2013
This should help :)
Hopefully everyone in the Nov group who hasn't heard anything yet will soon :)

Thanks for the update William!!

I hope to make that spreadsheet at least blue!!!!

Send me your updates.. and for those I have not updated or added yet, I will tonight!!!

We sent our application Nov. 20th, it arrived in Mississauga on the 21st.
My wife's medical was completed Sept. 19th,2012.
Thanks for the warm welcome, I will try and gain some more knowledge about the whole Ukraine situation with other people here.
Feel free to add our info please.

I haven't confirmed my trip dates yet.. we are trying to coordinate with my inlaws and all visit as there are 3 little ones I wanna see!! So hopefully sometime between May and August!! Otherwise I am alright.. just waiting out the process. And thanks.. I quite enjoy the energy in KG.. nothing going on in Pretoria that I can even follow along with!!! So gotta pass time somewhere!!

Hi everyone! I'm very suprised to see that they are processing applications received on jan.29th and I haven't heard a thing about our application wich was sent on nov. 21st and received in Mississauga (per Canada post tracking)on nov.26th. Would you suggest to call them to see what is the status with our application or wait more? Like everyone, I am looking forward to hear about stage 1! It's not always easy to be patient when left in the dark but we are being very patient.....after all, there is nothing else we can do! Good luck to all who are still waiting for stage 1 with us! ::)
