Would not count on a week if an extra submission is made. A week is fast even when there is no extra submission. The lawyer has to submit the extra material, the member has to review it and then send the NOD all while doing other work. It is fairly normal for most people to get their NOD in the month after their hearing but it can also take up to months as the other poster explained.
But member seems serious about it.

Maybe you’ll get the NOD in a week but that is a very fast turnaround even without the extra submission. Sometimes in a week really means as soon as possible.
I don’t know but the member was very serious. I don’t really know what it means. The member was very sharp. Member wanted to give decision right away.

Nobody on this forum can provide any guidance as to what that means and whether they will be able to stick to the week timeline. All you can do is wait for the NOD.

Yeah. I understand but this anxiety killing me
Some of us have been there at some point and get how it feels!! If you could talk to your counsel an get his opinion on how it went and why the extra submissions it could give you some peace of mind!! Best of luck!

Ok. I will talk to him. can I check the status by calling irb?

I have no idea. It depends on case to case. But less complex cases get hearings in 18 months to 2 years.
Speak with your lawyer. You need accurate information. It’s your life you’re fighting for.
For your lawyer to cut in and offer to make more submissions it means you did not do well or your lawyer felt you’re about to get a negative decision. Reach out to your lawyer he should explain whatever concerns he has or had. Because no lawyer would interrupt a potential positive decision if everything went well. Good luck.

I think he’s just anxious which is understandable. He should relax, pray and reach out to his lawyer. Wishing him the very best.
