Hi @Miss bee . I requested GCMS notes on March 15th. I have not received an answer as of today. Is this processing time normal for GCMS notes? Is there anything I should do regarding the request since its taking so long? Also, what is going on with the applications from Jan 28th to January 31st? It seems that they just forgot to keep processing January and moved on to other applications. It sucks.
Thanks for your help.
I noticed this trend also Jan 28th to Jan 31st 2025 applicants have no updates. Would be great if anyone had an insight.

I checked ircc processing time website and I take screenshots to see if there’s any changes over the months. I checked 2 weeks ago and today, I see they cleared a massive amount in queue. I went from 7900 ahead of me to 1500. From 110k waiting for decision to 14k. I hope this is a good sign that all 2024 and 2023 stuck will get application finalized sometime this year.

I applied in March 2024 and been under comprehensive security check since Dec 2024

I just checked for my application date of Feb 2024 Non-EE PNP, and it is still 7300. Are you sure about 1500 for your case? becaue the numbers you are mentioning are for the EE case, not the Non EE.

You’re right, I may have choosen wrong category which showed different numbers than non-ee.

Hi @Miss bee , Hope you are doing well.

Your advice is appreciated here. I'm July 2024 applicant and just received my updated GCMS notes which says my application is updated last on February 27th 2026 and is now processed by RROC. Eligibility and Background are passed since March 2025.

I'm primary applicant Inland my Spouse Secondary applicant is outland. Why is my application with RROC? is it a positive sign or negative? should I expect any decision soon?

Thank you in advance!
Hey quick question, how long it took for you to get your GCMS notes?

Hi @Miss bee I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on this?

Hi everyone I received Portal 2 on May 5, and since then I haven't received any updates. I'm still waiting for my eCOPR.

I've already submitted a webform, but the response was that they are doing their best and that I will be notified by email once there is an update.

I'm feeling quite frustrated because I've seen many people receiving their eCOPR within a week recently, while I've been waiting for over a month.

My representative suggested that I send a follow-up email to the same address that sent me Portal 1. Has anyone done this before? Did it help speed up the process or get a response?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Unfortunately, eCOPR timelines are not always consistent, even for applicants processed by the same office. While some people receive their eCOPR within a few days or a week after submitting Portal 2 information, others can end up waiting several weeks or even a few months. In many cases, the delay is simply due to workload at the processing office and does not necessarily indicate a problem with the application.
Regarding the follow-up email, many applicants have sent a polite email to the same address that issued Portal 1 or Portal 2. Some have received responses confirming that their information was received and that their case is awaiting final review, while others did not receive a reply but eventually received their eCOPR shortly afterward. There is no clear evidence that emailing speeds up processing, but it can sometimes provide reassurance that everything is in order.
Since you have already submitted a webform and have been waiting for over a month, sending a respectful follow-up email seems reasonable. Just keep the message brief, include your UCI, application number, and the date you submitted Portal 2 information, and ask whether any additional action is required from your side. The good news is that if you’ve already reached the Portal 2 stage, your application is generally in the final steps of the permanent residence process. At this point, most applicants simply need to wait for the responsible officer to issue the eCOPR.

Hello there,

I am a citizen of Brazil who has been living in Canada (BC specifically) on a study permit since May 2023. I am currently applying for permanent residency through the Provincial Nominee Program. I received my nomination through the BC Postgraduate Stream in December 2025 and submitted an application through the Non-Express Entry portal on January 30 2026.

A bit more than a year ago (May 1 2025), my partner and I moved in together. We have been living together continuously since then so as I understand it, we are now technically in a common-law partnership. They are also a non-citizen of Canada but have already earned their PR through Express Entry (Confirmation of PR issued August 2025).

When I put together my application, I did not mention my partner because we were not common law at the time. I am wondering if I need to update IRCC and BC Provincial Nominee Program on our status and if so, how. I am still waiting for my Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) for the application but as I understand, that is within the normal timelines for this stream.

Please let me know if you have any questions or thoughts! Thank you in advance!

When you hit one year of living together, you should update CIC that you are common law and update CRA . You don't need to update PNP office. If your partner is already PR , you just need to send letter of explanation and attach copy of his PR card through webform.
