@Miss bee after receiving ecopr my pr portal still showing address and photo in review and also will ircc notify me when they send my pr card
No . There won't be any changes to your portal account. To check status of your pr card application , you should link it to GCKeY account.
After receiving your eCOPR (Electronic Confirmation of Permanent Residence) in Canada, you will typically wait for your PR card to be issued. If you are using the GCKey portal and want to link your PR card application to your GCKey account, here’s how to do it:
Step-by-Step: Link PR Card Application to GCKey Account
  1. Sign in to your GCKey Account

  2. Go to “Add (link) your application to your account”
    • Once logged in, scroll down to find “Link application to this account”
    • Click it

  3. Select the Application Type
    • Choose “Permanent Resident Card” from the drop-down menu
    • Under sub-type, select “Initial PR Card” or “Renewal” (in your case, it’s likely “Initial”)

  4. Enter the Required Details
    • You’ll need to input:
      • Family name
      • Given name(s)
      • Date of birth
      • Place of birth
      • Country of birth
      • Date you became a permanent resident (this is the date on your eCOPR)
      • Unique Client Identifier (UCI) – found on your eCOPR
      • You may also be asked for your passport number or Application Number (starting with “EP” or “PR”)

  5. Submit and Confirm
    • Click “Search for my application”
    • If the system finds your application, you’ll be able to link it
    • Once linked, you’ll be able to track your PR card progress (e.g., “sent for production”, “mailed”, etc.)
Tips:
If the system can’t find your application, double-check:
  • The exact spelling of your name (as it appears on the eCOPR)
  • Your date of birth and other details
  • The PR application may not be in the system yet — wait a few days and try again

Hi Miss Bee,
Sorry to bother you again. I have a question regarding the name format on my documents. I’ve been using only "family name", no given name. My first work permit listed only the family name without a given name. e.g. "Family Name: Sanjiv Kumar." However, in the most recent permit, the same name appears in both the family name and given name fields,
e.g. "Family Name: Sanjiv Kumar" & "Given name: Sanjiv Kumar".
Should I apply for an amendment, or is it acceptable to leave it as is (UCI no. is same in old and recent documents)?
Could this discrepancy affect my PR application?
Also, do I need to update IRCC for my PR application regarding the new work permit?
Thanks for your help.
No there won't be any issues and you don't need to update them .

@sadmoko what have you mentioned in the document like IMM0008, 5404, IMM0008_4e (Schedule 4), IMM5669 (Schedule A)?
As per IRCC rule if you don't have a family name and its the same in your travel documents (passport) then your given name and family name is the same. I have the same issue to so lets say if name is "Sanjiv Kumar" and family name is blank then IRCC assumes full name as "Sanjiv Kumar Sanjiv Kumar" and the same way you have to write in your documents as well.

Thank you for your reply. In my case, my family name is "Saniv Kumar" and given name is blank in my passport. But WP shows my given name "Sanjiv Kumar" in addition to the family name, which was not the case in my previous WP.

Dear @Miss bee,

I hope this message finds you well.

I've been following this page for quite a while now, and I've found your replies and postings to be incredibly helpful and informative. We all truly appreciate the invaluable assistance you provide by answering our questions.
I am writing to humbly ask for your help and guidance with a specific question I have regarding my immigration process.

Last year, in mid-June, I submitted my non-Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) application with SINP. I received my Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) at the end of October, and my case processing office is in Winnipeg. Following the AOR, I received my (PAL) in mid-February.

During this period, specifically in mid-September, I also applied for a work permit extension, supported by an SINP letter. Unfortunately, this initial application was denied in the first week of April, as it was missing the Offer of Employment number and the employer compliance fee. Following this, I promptly resubmitted all the necessary documents, including the restoration fee, the Offer of Employment number, and the employer compliance fee. Due to the refusal of my previous work permit, I am currently out of status, although my Permanent Residence (PR) application remains in process.

More recently, in mid-June of this year, I received a request for additional documents from IRCC for my PR application. These requested documents included IMM5669, IMM5406, IMM5562, employment records, proof of funds, and income proof. I have since submitted all these documents. I do want to mention that I don't have pay stubs for the last two months, but I did provide a new job letter from my employer. Additionally, I submitted a detailed explanation letter outlining my situation regarding the work permit. I was relieved to receive an email last Friday confirming that my documents had been received.

Naturally, I'm feeling quite anxious about what might happen next. I was hoping you might be able to offer some insight into what I should expect. Furthermore, I would be very grateful if you could share whether you have heard of similar cases that had a positive outcome.

Thank you very much, @Miss bee, for any help or advice you can provide by replying to my query. Your assistance is deeply valued.

Sincerely,
Nav

It’s very clear that you’ve been diligent and proactive at every stage, and your concern is completely valid—immigration processes, especially when they involve status complications, can be incredibly stressful. Based on your timeline, your non-Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) application under SINP seems to be progressing steadily. Receiving your Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) in October and then the Pre-Arrival Letter (PAL) in February indicates that your application passed the initial eligibility assessment and moved to the background and admissibility checks, which is a positive sign. The recent document request from IRCC in mid-June suggests your file is actively being reviewed and may be approaching the final stages, as such requests typically occur when a file is under serious consideration for finalization.
Your work permit issue, while understandably concerning, is not uncommon. Many applicants unfortunately encounter refusals due to administrative errors—such as missing the Offer of Employment number or not paying the employer compliance fee. The fact that you immediately rectified this by submitting a new application, including restoration of status, employer compliance payment, and a detailed letter of explanation, works in your favor. IRCC generally considers restoration requests seriously, especially when it’s evident the applicant made a genuine effort to comply and the error was not intentional. The fact that you’re continuing with your PR application and that it was not impacted by the temporary loss of status is significant.
Your submission of all requested documents—including IMM5669 (Schedule A), IMM5406 (Family Information), IMM5562 (Travel History), employment records, proof of funds, and an updated job letter—is very encouraging. While you lacked the last two months of pay stubs, your proactive move to include a strong job letter and a thorough explanation of your situation demonstrates transparency and accountability, which IRCC appreciates. Receiving confirmation that your documents were received is also a positive indicator that your file remains open and in progress.
In similar cases—especially where applicants are out of status but have a strong PR file and have taken steps to restore their status—positive outcomes are quite common, particularly when the person is nominated by a province, has maintained employment, and shows they are still residing in Canada with good intentions. While no one can guarantee outcomes, your case shows all the signs of being handled with care and completeness. You’ve done the right things: responded promptly, communicated transparently, and complied with IRCC requests.
At this stage, it’s reasonable to expect that the next step could be a final decision or a request for a medical update or background check clarification, depending on what remains. The timing varies, but your active file and the recent update mean it’s moving. Keep checking your email and online account regularly. You’ve come a long way, and you’re navigating a tough process admirably. Stay strong—you may be closer to a positive outcome than you think.

Thanks for detailed reply @Miss bee. It's really helpful. My medical passed already and hopefully i will get positive response soon. Again thanks for your reply I really appreciate it.
