Can anyone tell me, How much time "Security check" takes ?
I’m now seeing this question being asked more and more lately. - No one knows how long it may take as it’s handled on a case by case basis.
I am waiting since November 2021 while all the checks are complete based on what I heard from MP's office. IRCC does not respond to any web forms or notes just generic emails. The application is being processed in Edmonton.
How to submit CEC after PNP non-EE application? I tried but the system not allow me to create a EE profile...
I am in the same boat. My security has been under process for like 2 months now at Edmonton office

Hello @mcdonal22 - I just saw your post. The last activity I had on my account was around the 20th of November 2022. There has been no movement in my GCKey account since then. However, when I called IRCC in Jan, the call centre agent said all was complete. This was reconfirmed by another IRCC call centre agent in Feb. They also said that they cannot send a message about my case to the visa office since it is within processing times. Now my application is at 16 months. I fully expect my processing time to go over 20 months. It is a dismal state of affairs. This is having an impact on many aspects of my life and that of my family.
About the mental strain, I want to tell you that it is very bad. I too have made many resolutions not to check my account more than once a day. However, there are many days when I check it multiple times a day. I also know that there are many more like us. So, the only thing I can say is that there is nothing wrong with any of us; we are stuck in a system that is wrong.
Can I please ask which stream you are in?
