No update. My timeline very similar to yours, but my comprehensive security check started only on 29 Apr, 2025. Do you have any changes?
I applied with the local pcc from india not from the bls one .Hello,
I applied for Non-Express Entry PR on Nov 15/2024 but my application got returned on Aug 19/2025 for not having proper document for proof of date of birth ( they did not consider passport and PAN card as proof).
It wasted my 10 months and now I have to apply again as a fresh applicant.
Can anyone please suggest /advice if I can use old PCC ( issued via BLS ) in Oct 2024 ?
Just so you know, after PCC was issued I have made 3 trips to India.
For Canada, I am going to get a new PCC done in August 2025 from RCMP , it hardly takes 3 days, but PCC (of India) through BLS it will take 5-6 weeks.
Your suggestions/advice will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
You dont need PCC from Canada. They will ask for your biometrics when the time come.Hello,

That’s a shame.. after waiting too long… I also waiting for AOR… Could you not try reconsideration? Webform and provide Letter of Explanation (LOE)? I read on WhatsApp group about this. Although they also say, apply new while waiting on request to reconsider.Hello,

Info Sharing is a step in IRCC’s background screening process. It means IRCC is sharing your biometrics (fingerprints, photo) with partner countries in the Five Eyes alliance (Canada, U.S., U.K., Australia, New Zealand). The purpose is to check if you’ve applied for immigration, visas, or had any security/immigration concerns in those countries. If Info Sharing shows “Complete”, it means that process is finished — IRCC has received the results back from partner countries and can move forward with your background checks.
2. What triggers a Comprehensive Background Check?
IRCC’s background check generally has three stages:
A comprehensive background check is usually triggered if:
- Criminality check – RCMP fingerprints, police certificates.
- Info Sharing – biometrics sharing with partner countries.
- Security check – conducted by CSIS/CBSA, looking at potential security risks
- You have lived in multiple countries for extended periods.
- Your name or details match (or are similar to) someone on a watchlist.
- There are inconsistencies in your personal history (work, travel, residence).
- You come from, or have traveled to, countries with higher security concerns.
- Random selection (sometimes IRCC does deeper checks as part of standard risk management).
- Past immigration or visa refusals, overstays, or criminal records.
This is normal. All applications are different and processed differently. Don't compare your application with anyone else.Hi Miss bee,
I got my AOR end of June and submitted my biometrics the very next day. I havent heard anything back from IRCC yet. On my PR tracker it says I dont need to do a medical exam, but I see a lot of people posted about doing their medical exams around the same time as their biometrics. Is this normal?

What “medical surveillance” means in the PR process:@Miss bee My spouse received a medical surveillance notification yesterday more than a week after us receiving the Portal 1 email. Both the tracker and GCKey have both the background and medical as completed as the status. What does the medical surveillance mean with respect to the PR process? Will the Portal 2 and the subsequent eCOPR be delayed or this has no impact on the overall PR process?
Looking forward to your advice.
Thanks!
