Dear experts,
I need your valuable reply.

My E-cas shows in process.
I got a letter from CHC that expressed:

You have got the pass mark 67.
According to section 76(3) the officer believes the point total is not a sufficient indicator of whether or not the applicant may become economically established in Canada.

The letter also marked on my IELTS score which is 3 Moderate and one basic.

I have 60 days to send my opinion ti the CHC.

What can I do??????

Hi,
I have a question regarding my exprience. in 2007 when I was applying I had 3 years' exprience (part-time) but I was not aware of full-time or part-time stuff, so I checked 3 years instead of 1.5 years...... Do you think that's gonna be a problem? should I inform them about the mistake? one more thing.... now that I have 4 years' exprience, would that add to my score?

i am not sure, that is why i deleted my earlier post. wait for others to answer. The question of your full time experience may arise.

The applicant must have at least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience, or the
continuous part-time equivalent, in the category of Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B, according to
the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC).

i guess tell them now.

Hi,

Your experience after submitting the full docs will not be counted as the lock in date is when you have submitted your docs, about part-time they may come to know if they do the employment verification otherwise you might get through it.

Cheers
Saki

see page 40 of OP6. I haven't read the whole op6 so might have gotten the context wrong but it says they will take account new experience if the applicant updates them before assessment. I think this applicant is pre-2008 applicant so their applications usually take a long time.

Hi Maaties,

Yea you got it write here is the exact wording:

take into account any years of experience that occur between application and assessment,
and for which the applicant has submitted the necessary documentation

So means any experience and qualifcation done in between application submission and assessment the points will be awarded.

Also its says,

be full-time work, which, according to R80(7), is equivalent to at least 37.5 hours of paid work
per week. Full-time work experience requirement may be met by the equivalent in part-time
paid work experience, e.g. more than one part-time job held simultaneously or one or more
part-time jobs held over the equivalent of one year of full-time work
. Experience can be
calculated by adding up the number of weeks of full-time work, i.e. 37.5 hours per week in one
job or a total of at least 37.5 hours per week in more than one job, in one or more of the NOC
categories. Periods of work of less than 12 months during the 10 years immediately preceding
the date of the application may be added together and divided by 12 to calculate the number
of years

Means applicant will get atleast 2 years experience points if he/she shows 4 years of part time experience.

Hi,

If you have not submitted your IELTS result then visa officer will give you the english language points according to your qualification and what he thinks you english level is and since you have done specialization in english language and know french as well i dont think it will be a problem and you will get good points. If by any chance (hope not) visa officer is not happy he/she will ask you to submit IELTS.

Cheers
Saki
