Hey All,

As the Subject line suggests. I would like to know if anyone knows if NOC 2282 is a rare NOC or not.

I am little worried that I will not make it to 200 so thought of asking this Q.

Thanks in advance.

Given to overall capacity of NOC Bs of 41000 and available "seats" limit of 12000 (not mentioning NOC As and 0s) I'd say that CEC immigration becomes a gamble for everyone...

What you mean by 41000 capacity. And also CEC never crossed 12,000 mark in past so there is no need to
Panic for NOC A and 0. I m totally aware of number of NOC b applications the get
Each year so can't say much on it

Correct. The quota of 12,000 has never been met, but CEC also is a fairly new program. We'll have to wait and see what the
year brings and how the first update on the CEC application counter looks like.
That will give us more insight on the progress and the applications per NOC.

As per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/applications-accepted.asp there is 205 NOC B specialties. Multiply 205 by cap for each NOC B (200) and voila, 41000 to come... So, you may be UNIQUE applicant for specific NOC B, but there might be 60 others that were already filled leaving you out of "seat" even there was no "race" within your NOC.

Based on http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2013/2013-11-08.asp there was 25000 successful immigrants under CEC program for how long, two years? You also need to keep in mind that there only successful case number count while some number of applications being returned after AOR is issued. You also need to keep in mind potential increase of CEC applications due to "seizure" of other immigration programs.

I don't think it can be said in any meaningful sense that there are 41,000 places. Not to mention, foreign workers aren't necessarily able to do all of those jobs (for instance police, soldiers).

You got it and I bet there's more jobs like that foreignt workers are not eligible
to apply for.

OK, even half of NOC B is more than enough to cap available CEC application count by around two times margin... :)
And there is even more from NOC 0 and NOC A to come...

I appreciate your input on this but my Q was for my specific NOC and not over all..

I am pretty sure that I will apply before that 12,000 CAP however I am worried about the sub category 200 CAP and that's is why I wanted to know if we have lotta ppl applying under 2282...

Anyone who knows my specific NOC statistics ? 8)

As already said, there is no such statistics available for now. Apply whenever you become eligible and cross your fingers.
You can also check the spreadsheet collections on my website https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24404541/home.html
and manually check how many applicants applied in that specific NOC in the year of 2013.

How can I manually check the stats?

Read my post above. Go to my webiste

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24404541/home.html

open up the link to the spreadsheet collection and then every single spreadsheet for 2013.
Happy counting, all NOCs should be on the spreadsheet so you should be ablet o count applications.

For example September 2013:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsFmKvHOgoF5dHE5YWtMUzFZckhzZHE1bmF0NDVmMEE#gid=7

0 applicants in the 2282 NOC. But that's only what has been reported on here, there's a lot of applicants
who applied and are not signed up here.

There have already been a few of these questions - "How quickly is the cap for NOC xxxx going to be filled?" - and I imagine we will get many more. CIC have not previously made this kind of statistic public for CEC applications, and you will need a crystal ball to answer that question.

You may be able to get some idea by looking at the various spreadsheets, but this only covers the small fraction of CEC applicants that have joined this forum and have chosen to make their information public in those spreadsheets.

LOl, you can always apply some maths..just extrapolate it based on number of people here and number of people apply each year..too much eh ? I dont think there are many applicants in NOC...I was checking and in my NOC 2113..I dont see many people here
