OHIP card is not renew because of BOWP

Not in the habit of bumping threads, but... The specific advice I got from Service Ontario is that they don't consider the AOR to be a statement of eligibility. And indeed it isn't - an AOR is simply an acknowledgement that your application package was received and meets the requirements for...

OHIP card is not renew because of BOWP

They didn't request mine either. I assume one doesn't need as many documents to renew OHIP as to apply for the first time. Although the manual for BOWP says that continued provincial health care coverage is assured, the provinces set their own rules. In the case of Ontario, the requirement to...

    Disagreement with employer

The manual (OP 25a) suggests that they may conduct interviews in certain cases: where eligibility cannot be decided one way or the other, where the application fits a profile where misrepresentation is more likely, and at other random times. I'm guessing there is a similar strategy to decide...

BOWP when closed permit does NOT expire in 4 months

The BOWP wasn't really designed to help temporary foreign workers to change employers, or even to prevent all situations where a PR applicant may have to return home to await the outcome of his/her application (though these can be nice side effects). The idea was basically to spare employers...

BOWP when closed permit does NOT expire in 4 months

^ It is true that some people have reported getting around the four-month rule. Certainly far fewer of them since OB485-A (September 2013), which gave greater emphasis to the four-month rule. Still, be aware that "trying your luck" and applying for a BOWP anyway is unlikely to work, and you...

Applicant for CEC - Dec 2014

^ Again - we're talking about a vital piece of the application package. The first, most basic requirement of Canadian Experience Class is that you gained twelve months experience before you applied. If you can't do this before the deadline, you have missed the deadline.

Applicant for CEC - Dec 2014

^ I doubt that "not many" employers provide letters (meaning: the majority don't). In cases where the employer is unwilling to provide a letter, it may be possible to attest to the work experience through a combination of other evidence (contracts etc). But this is different - we're talking...

Applicant for CEC - Dec 2014

They can't count work experience that isn't attested by your experience letter (that is - up to the date it is signed). So make sure you obtain this letter after you have gained the required experience. There won't be an AOR if you don't submit employer letters that support your claimed work...

^ I said you do need to mention it on the background form.

    Experience

The non-qualifying experience (as a cook) does not hurt or help your application. You don't need to mention it on Schedule 8 or provide letters, etc, for that job, but you do still need to mention it on the background form where it asks your activity over the last ten years.

    Worked for 1561 hours

^ Don't worry about it - the discussion got sidetracked with the suggestion that you could "try your luck" with insufficient work experience and apply anyway. Back on topic - you will not qualify for CEC without one more month's full-time work experience.

How to count/prove weeks of work experience?

^ Yes - From OP 25a (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op25A-eng.pdf), section 10.11, "Qualifying work experience": An allowance for a reasonable period of vacation time will generally be made in calculating the period of qualifying work experience (e.g., a two-week period of...

Mainly they are wary of people trying to 'up-skill' (out of NOC level C or D occupations) or avoid the six excluded NOC B occupations (e.g. food service supervisors). Not an issue in your case - consider that skill type 2 (Natural and applied sciences and related occupations - the one that...

    Worked for 1561 hours

There is no place in the application for you to write "full-time" or "part-time", or if these terms did appear in your reference letter they would have no practical effect. What's important is your hours per week. Besides - what would be the point?

    CEC through Express Entry

We will see. For the time being, it looks like an "Invitation to Apply" will be required for CEC (or FSW, etc). This invitation comes through Express Entry. If there is no possibility for unsolicited applications, then effectively there is no 'slow track'.
