No updates on Super Visa application

Is there anything that the applicator can do in such a case? If it takes that long?
Work with an immigration lawyer. There are several issues before a decision is made: IRCC needs all security information from the country where the applicant was; CBSA may need to provide security information of its own and assess, and then IRCC uses all documentation gathered to make a decision. Really depends on country too.
got it. Thank you for the details. my dad's application has been in similar situation. Applied in March along with my mom. Mom's application was approved in 2 weeks but still awaiting updates for him. Both had prior Canada visit visas and have been to Canada. Have active US visas as well. I'm just wondering what can be done do help get a decision for him as well
So he had a military or police background? Have you reached out to MP? May be next step. Filing writ is not really an option until a year has passed.

Applied for my father's super visa on July 1st. Till now, there has been no update on his application - not even a biometric request. I am unsure what my options are? Raized a webform and I reached out to my MP as well

How old is he and has he done biometrics in the past 10 years? Has he done his medical? Processing can take months. All you can do is wait.
Refer to this, in June Supervisa group. They asked for PCC and issued PPR. He is an retired police officer too
Thanks for your reply. No biometrics done in past 10 years. He is 65, retired. Did medical upfront but that also doesnt show in the portal. Its been 3 months now and we are yets to recieve a biometrics request letter.
Did they receive AOR? Would send a webform or call IRCC to see if they flag that your parents has not received BIL.

I am also stuck in the same boat. Applied for my father Super Visa on Oct 8. No BIL yet. He was having normal visit visa before and his old Biometrics are valid until 2028. But i did opted in application to provide new biometrics and paid accordingly for it.
I will appreciate if you can share updates in your case..
Follow threads from parents who have applied in October and see if there is anyone applying from Pakistan. Processing time is many months.
