There's this site that provides information about settling down in Canada. It is http://immigrantcircle.com. Can landed Manitoba immigrants connect there and help new immigrants settle faster. They have a forum that is still new so we can it as an avenue to help each other. As new immigrants, we need all the support we can get.

I am in need of your help urgently. I am in need of any Nigerian who has gotten PR and has lived in Manitoba for at list over a year. I am currently in South Africa. I graduated from a university here with a degree in Civil Engineering. However i work as a Construction Manager i have had this job for over 12 years. I am Married with 1 child. I was able to get my papers here in South Africa during the time of De Klerk unfortunately my wife was not able to get her papers. I filed for her but the application was turned down. She and my son has been returned to Lagos although before now they continued to extend a temporary visa which was giving to her when she came here in 2008 and now the have stopped extending all visas giving on Nigerian passports for no good reason. Please Brothers and Sister help me reunite my family and i again. i have done the english test and completed the express entry application however my point was low because my wife has points are low due to eduction and work experience. I have a family friend living in BC but he told me that i will need a PNP Nomination and Manitoba is the only place i might be able to get PNP without a job offer if i have a friend/ relative staying there. Please any ides to increase my point to save my family. If anybody can stand for me so i can get the PNP or any correct immigration lawyer in Manitoba. You will waste their time and resources and take a spot that could have been used by someone wishing to live there.

I don't know, but are you planning on settling permanently there? I don't think you intend to, you probably haven't even checked their website as the member above asked you to do, since you don't even know the correct name of the town.

That program is only for people who have a genuine intention to settle there permanently. Please select where you will actually settle and then follow their immigration process. BC also has a PNP process if you intend to settle where your friend is. Otherwise you risk having your PR challenged and being sent back.

Please do not rely on just what your friend tells you, make sure you review the immigration website of the federal government and of each province's PNP. All the information about funds is listed in detail in all those websites.

Thanks for your prompt response. I am a HR professional and can see the scope of this field in morden. plus my spouse is web designer which is also in demand in Manitoba. I mistakenly misspell the name. my bad. Have done some research for different pnps but I guess BC needs a job offer in addition i dont have any friend in BC. wondering how you assume that. Morden sounds good to me and if I find good Opportunities so why not definitely would settle there permanently. Just want to confirm if property documents are acceptable instead of bank account?
