Pls help clarify.. is it ok to present bank statement of standard chartered bank as proof of funds? i plan to carry some amount in cash and have some
in the bank statement.

Sorry dear for the late response. Yes we plan to land in Febuary God helping us. Am not too sure of bank statement but I plan to do a combination as well. I would carry sone cash and raise a draft for the rest. I can also go with a bank statement provided I have a visa or master card meaning that if the officer doubt
the bank statement then I would insert my card to the machine fr them to see!!
Truth is an average wersterner hardy carry physical cash around so I don't expect to be so unreasonable!!! Many times they don't even ask to see the pof but just in case they demand it then a draft, travellers
cheque, bank statement/ card should suffice.

Bottom line you don't have strength to start arguing after such a long trip!! So if you can just carry cash and or bank draft so you dont start your first day in Canada with argument over whether or not a bank statement is genuine!!!
