What is wrong with Accra Visa Office? they are not allowing AORs to be released. Other Visa Offices are receiving theirs except Accra. it is damn too slow

hi seglad,
your explanation was very clear.
from what i feel i think the mail and letter they sent to me is my 2nd AOR with receipt of payment.
so what next? though they requested for additional doc. such as DOB and Employment letter. am pre June 26th submitted my application 7th June.
and sent additional doc on the 14th Sept.

so what next my Ecas show in process.

same here too. i submitted by application May 12th 2010 and i am yet to get my first AOR talkless of second AOR. The whole process slowed down since the introduction of the new rule. CIO is giving preference to the new applicants. Looks like what happened to 2008 applicant is about happening again. 2008 declined drastically with the introduction of the 2009, now ours has declined due to the introduction of the new one. Instead of CIO to round up one batch before moving to another they just keep vacillating. It is really frustrating plans of so many people. Some had hope that by May next year they would be through but with the present situation of things i doubt if that is possible. Nevertheless what we require is patience. The onlhy alternative is to reapply under the new rule that way it might be faster but you might not get so lucky cos there is a rule of 20,000 capacity

I submitted my application via courier on the 7th June they received on the 10th June
On the 13th August I got there mail that my document is in processing since 9th August, 2010.
I got the hard copy of same letter attached with my receipt and File number with B05*******
A week later I was able to view it online. Showing IN PROCESS
Last month Sept they sent a mail requesting for additional document such as DOB, Schedule 1 form and letter of employment, which I sent to them both hard and soft copy on the 17th Sept have not heard from them after that.
Dose it mean my documents is OK?

was it year 2010 you submitted your application. Cos no May and June applicant for Accra Visa Office has been given AOR. I am flabbergasted. COuld you plz shed more light on the issue, cos it beginning to make me nervous

Hi,

I agree with Right, send the IELTS test. Although its validity is three months, once it is with them, it is their problem.
By the way, somebody cancelled representative by lawyer - would this make things faster?

At this stage you are under documents verification. This is to make sure that
all necessary documents are submited without a missing one. And if any required documents
are missing you will be asked for additional documents Or if CHC can not satisfy with what you fill on the application you will be asked to submit a proof. The reason for this is to practice a fairness
handling of individual application and if any documents requested but the applicants refuse
/late to submit any requested documents without contacting CHC to explain why the documents would not be submitted on a timeframe, CHC has the right to refuse the application.

After the submission of the additional documents,a paper screening will be
done on your application and if you have the required points,(67points) you will be
given a B'FD in which CHC will run a background check on your submitted
documents for its genuinity, and may confirm your employment, your experience and duties from
your employer( this is done randomly not everyone undergo background check if CHC is satisfy with the originality of the documents but if in doubt, they will surely contact the concerned authority. If all these are done,CHC may/not ask for update for the new applicants, but compulsory for old applicants 2003 - 2009. If an update is submitted, then CHC will make a selection decission and at a date, you will be asked to submit your medical and landing fee

Making use of Representative or not will not affect the speed of the processing. Their work is to make sure that your application meets the minimum requirement and to ensure that your application does not get returned by scrutinizing your documents for any error

Friend I wouldn't worry too much about 2nd AOR from Ghana because till I got the visa I did not receive one. Just use the initial AOR number you got from NS to check your info through ECAS. The usefulness of the 2nd AOR shouldn't be unduly elevated!

I believe we should be more concerned with the Ghana office receiving our documents.

hello Kanadamie/Awoderu,

I submitted my full documents to Accra by May 11,2010 thru' EMS. Confirmed with them that Accra received it by May 17,2010. However, having waited for months without response from Accra, I decided to send a case specify enquiry to them on August 14,2010. I got an email reply on August 17,2010 with the following details:

We received your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker Class on May 28, 2010. However, please be advised of your file number - B05.... (which is my 2nd AOR)

Quote your file number in all your future correspondence with our office.

Your file is currently in queue to be paper-screened by an officer. Once this screening takes place, you will be contacted with regards to the next steps in the processing of your application.

Thank you for cooperation and for your interest in immigrating to Canada.

Regards

Visa Office [RE]
Canadian High Commission / Haut-Commissariat du Canada, Ghana

So, I'll suggest you send a case-specify enquiry to them.

cheers
DyDx
