If the translator is not certified, they have to be recognized by a body of which the translation is done. The translation must be accompanied by an affidavit

Would we need to apply for Canadian criminal Check or PCC as well? IRCC says it's not necessary at time of application
Any ideas?

Can we find a translator from our home country to provide translations based on a scan? Can we translate it by ourselves and then use an affidavit?
