But 300 per NOC is very less. I am already on work permit for NOC code 2174, so I guess, I can apply. Seniors please suggest if this makes me eligible, also in points I have around 75+ points.

I am trying to help my sister in law in India to apply under FSWP. I am a bit confused about the new list. She works for a bank in the credit card collection division. Is there a code under the new list for this occupation. I could not find any.

Can someone please help in clarifying this?

Thanks

A prospective applicant should ensure they meet at least one of the following requirements:

•They have at least one year of continuous work experience in one of the 24 eligible occupations;
They have a qualifying offer of arranged employment (*note changes to the arranged employment process were previously published in this web notice); or
•They are eligible to apply through the PhD stream. (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2013/2013-04-18.asp)

hi guys, my question is if you have an job offer can it be out of new 24 occupations??? I was about to apply when it had my occupation listed before. But now it is out. I am a chef and i am nowhere near to the new list. But just thought of asking this question as it is not clear to me. your reply will clerify this i believe.

thanks

Arranged Employment

Previously, employers have applied for an Arranged Employment Opinion (AEO) from Human Resources Skills Development Canada when they wished to hire a foreign national on a permanent, full-time basis and support their employee’s application for permanent residence through the FSWP.

Starting on May 4, 2013, CIC will no longer accept AEOs in support of an FSWP application. Instead, most offers of arranged employment will require a Labour Market Opinion.

Labor market opinion...
What is a Labour Market Opinion?

A Labour Market Opinion (LMO) is a document that an employer in Canada may need to get before hiring a foreign worker.

A positive LMO will show that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job and that no Canadian worker can do the job. A positive LMO is sometimes called a Confirmation letter.

Your proposed employer must contact Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC). HRSDC will provide details on the LMO application process.

In some cases, you may not need a LMO to apply for a work permit.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=163&t=17

Basically of the AE you had needs to undergo LMO. If the job can be filled by Canadian citizens then your employer can't hire you.
