It has never been for me in ECAS Status.

Guys, i checked today...evn my mailing address is not there on Ecase status page.

I am checking the forum after few days and found good news for only some of the guys. Seems CHC has slowed down again.

Thanks for the reply but i am still confused for "File Transfer" date cos when i look at other people's dates they have mentioned its showing only 5-6 days of difference between Doc's Request and File Transfer date.
And in my scenario:
App Filled : 8-Apr-2010
Doc's Request : 21-June-2010

Then I submitted all my docs and received an acknowledgement Receipt dated 18-Nov-2010 stating "This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada which was received on 04/08/2010 (mm/dd/yyyy). We confirm receipt of your application package at the visa office in New Delhi."
(where my CHC File number is changed from Bxxxxxxx (number given by case processing center in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada) to some Exxxxxxx)

So is this date 18-Nov-2010 my File Transfer number?(where my CHC File number is changed from Bxxxxxxx (number given by case processing center in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada) to some Exxxxxxx)

File transfer = status in ECas update, after you have sumitted full docs-Stage 2. 4th point below.
for eg:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on xxxxx.
2. We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on xxxxxxx. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
3. Your application and supporting documents were received by the New Delhi office. They are pending review.
4. We transferred your application to the New Delhi office on xxxxxxxx. The New Delhi office may contact you.
5. Your application was reviewed and we started processing on xxxxx.

Hi Manic,

I am also in the same situation.
I also live in US and expecting my meds probably next month or so. I was thinking of going to India for passport stamping but if there is any other option where i can stay in US and get it stamped it will be great.

What did you do? Did you courier your passports to New Delhi India? and in how many days did you get it back?

Hi,

I live in US and I got the request from New Delhi VO to send my medicals and passport by Nov 7. My attorney says either I should send my passport with medicals by Nov 7 or send the medical alone and after my application is finalized I can send the passport.

1. I would like to know if we can send my Indian and my sons US passport to India while I am in US, if so how should I do that?
2. How many days or months it would take to get my passports back from canada embassy in New Delhi?
3. How can I get the passports back from India as canada embassy in New Delhi says they can only mail it to an Indian address and not anywhere else?
4. In case of emergency trip to India while my passport is in transit how can I get back my passport to make that travel?

Any prior experience or news heard from others or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in adavance.

Your E-cas is incomplete and has not been updated yet . As I told you before , FILE TRANSFER is done exactly in between 10 days from the documents request .

I received document on 6 the feb 2010 and my file transfer is 10 Feb 2010.

Try giving the exact lines from ECAS status as it is shown. This will make it clear whether its updated fully or not.

Hi jatt,

You should inform Canadian High Commission about you current job status, because if they call at your work and the receptionist say to them that you no longer work here it will create negative impression, as you should be the one to tell them first not your companies receptionist as she is third person.
Also, provide them with your new company address for there convince to reach you, make there comfort level easy to reach you; we know they can call on cell too but they generally call on landline. One of my friends got 2 verification calls. In my friends case he didn't left his job, he was fired due to company politics and the company officials answered his call negatively

In my case they have taken almost 100 days.. i have few other friends and they two of them are also facing same problem. nothing can be predicted here.

They won't give exact status if we send enquiry to them but at least they inform us in case of any issue while processing. Like in my case they asked me to provide indian mailing address.
