Thanks for reply Vicky. I dont understand the reason for asking pp immediately if this is going to take longer for them to stamp. Atleast they can request pp just a week before as everything is over and just for stamping only. This way people can use their passports for short term travel etc.

In my case they have taken almost 100 days.. i have few other friends and they two of them are also facing same problem. nothing can be predicted here.

They won't give exact status if we send enquiry to them but at least they inform us in case of any issue while processing. Like in my case they asked me to provide indian mailing address.

People who have received medical papers can also attend CIIP sessions. CHC sends CIIP application along with medical papers. Even if one has not received app then send an email to CIIP and ask for place in session.

You should inform Canadian High Commission about you current job status, because if they call at your work and the receptionist say to them that you no longer work here it will create negative impression, as you should be the one to tell them first not your companies receptionist as she is third person.
Also, provide them with your new company address for there convince to reach you, make there comfort level easy to reach you; we know they can call on cell too but they generally call on landline. One of my friends got 2 verification calls. In my friends case he didn't left his job, he was fired due to company politics and the company officials answered his call negatively

from the very first day after filing.......
for 1st file number______waiting
for 2nd also waiting
for medicals again waiting
finally to get back our passports also a long WAITING
i want to go to a place where mobile,Internet is not accessible and only POSTMAN can reach me
does any one knows such place?
please let me know that :'(

Consider yourself very lucky man...... This window of Nov. 2008 to June 2010 has been the golden period in the history of Canadian Immigration & is being cherished by a few lucky ones like you & me !!
Only 8000 odd applications are being processed post 26 June 2010 as compared to the 400 received everyday by CIO prior to these new rules.
And it's gonna get worse every year henceforth.
Consider yourself fortunate & utilize this time to plan your leaving & landing.

But i am in no mood to attend CIIP now. 1. Work is tight, 2. dont want to move until pp comes. :-\

I cant say that jatt but i think we should be prepared until we get our passports back with visa

Or

All on this thread waiting should send a case specific query at same date and time so that we could knock there doors and say jago mohan payre.

Waiting after medical and passport submission really kills,
Crossing each date on calendar!..............

My role is more towards techno functional side i.e. 40 % computer science + 30 % security analyst domain knowledge + 30% mathematics.

I used to lead a team that was into algorithmic trading, accordingly i had done PMP, SCJP, SCEA, SCBCD, SCDWS, FRM, CFA L2, financial mathematic cert from actuarial society of London, few oracle certifications etc.

these certs proved really helpful for job hunting..

hey,
I found another alert... and eCAS now shows the address, but without any other changes.
Others who had lost the address, could u pl check eCAS.
so eCAS gets updated on any day of the week, but mostly on tuesdays.
