got GCMS notes
officer wrote summary of our relationship from first day until marriage and said the couple appears compatible in age, education, marital status and language.
reasons given for interview are -
- TRV rejection before applied for spousal sponsorship
- sponsor didnt return to Canada at date given in forms
-VO not indicated on the medical report
-No biodata on the back of photo-id
it looks ok, i think i should not worry
some suggestions please :)

When did you apply for the notes? How come your dates for sponsor return didnt match when you left for canada? Did you just made a small mistake? I wonder how they even figured that out lol

the thing abt lack of biodata information for the id... well we didnt even bother attaching any id lol it was not mentioned or needed or required in the check list.. as long you submit the passport, birth certificate and the marriage certificate. The national Identity number field in the form, we just said N/A

either way its not too bad good that you got the notes in time! good luck!
i applied on june 18th and received today, exact 30 days. :)
in our forms we mentioned that sponsor will return to canada on march 30th but she didnt return and we are still together in India.
good luck to you too :)

you need to send one form via email and pay $5 fees, you will get your notes after 30 days. if applicant is inside canada, you need to send only one form but if applicant is outside, sponsor need to request gcms on behalf of applicant. in second case, you need to fill 2 forms and send one copy of requester's identity with forms.

procedure for applying for gcms notes

Step by step:

Print off IMM 5563 (05-2012) E - Access to Information and Personal Information Request:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

Section A:
1. Access to Information Act
2. English/French (your choice)
3. Email (fastest way)
4. No (because the applicant does not live in Canada you cannot request on your own, your spouse will have to officially request for you)

Section B:
This section is for the applicant to fill out.
Family Name (Last Name)
Given Name(s) (First Name/Middle Name)
DOB
Electronic Files - Status of an Applicaation - File Number (you would get this from the AOR or sponsor approval, ours started with an 'F') -
Location (in your case its New Delhi, India)
DO NOT fill out the Immigration File in Canada section or the next section down that says Physical File unless you really want those docs as well. If you do, the file will be pulled and could delay your processing until it's returned.

Section C:
This section your spouse that lives in Canada will fill out:
Tick the box "this request is submitted by a Canadian Citizian or PR"
Mr. Mrs. Ms
Family Name (Last Name)
Given Name(s) (First Name/Middle Name)
Full Address
Phone Number
Email
Requester's Signature: your spouse to sign and date

NOW:

Print off IMM 5475(12-2004) E - Authority to Release Personal Information To A Designated Individual: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

Choose One:
Tick off the first box "i authorize"
Questions 1-4 are for you, the principal applicant to fill out
1. Family Name and Given Name
2. DOB
3. Name of Office: Canadian High Commission -- Location of Office: New Delhi, India
4. File Number and Client ID (UCI)

Questions 5-6 are for your spouse, the Canadian citizian or PR to fill out
5. Family Name and Given Name
6. Address, Phone and Email (make sure to use the same email that you provided when you first submitted the application)

7. Principal Applicant to sign and date/Sponsor to sign and date

I filled the forms out and then scanned them to my husband to sign, then scanned them again and emailed them, the email address is at the bottom of form IMM-5563

Lastly, pay the $5 online http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp. Print the receipt and fill it out with your sponsors information, and email all 4 pages to ATIP-AIPRP @ cic.gc.ca.
Alternatively write a $5 personal cheque to the Receiver General of Canada and mail the pages to Access to Information and Privacy Division, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 1L1
good luck :)

Same here, my spouse didn't write her name at the back of immigration photos since it was not mentioned in the checklist guide. :o

Folks - can someone who sent the PP to ND VO pls clarify this for me?
When you get a PPR and you have two passports (one expired and one active), do you need to send both the passports to New Delhi? Or just the valid current passport will do?

I believe you have to sent both the expired one and the current one. However, you might want to confirm this with people who have got PPR request

thanks fayou !

Received passport request for submission on June 26.
Submitted passport on July 10 but forgot to include the copy of the letter sent by the Canadian High Commission New Delhi. A cover letter was included to indicate the file number and other details. Please advise if there would be any problems getting the PR visa.
Thanks a lot

They do want you to send the letter with PP however there wont be any issue as you have included a cover letter with the file number.

the reason they want the letter so they can reference your file number and direct your PP to the right place.

With the file number included in the cover letter. You are fine, dnt worry and enjoy the wait time buddy...

Just a question !

If that is the case, can we just send our Passport with a cover letter after 2-3 weeks of sponsorship approval without waiting for PPR ?

No, They will send it back to you. The ppr request letter is only for those file numbers for which they hace actually issued a PPR. If you just send the pp like that, of course they will check with your file number if a PPR was indeed issued or not.
