Grr, I was a student once and now I m into the other side.. either way.. see the thing is Student permit process only takes a week to complete. They dont have a backlog hence I think there is no reason for it or lets say tourist applicants ( hey its summer, more folks apply to visit in summer then winter) these applicants are done with within a week or 2 , they dont have a backlog for such ..

lalatata, i askd him(CPC STAFF) the same question, he said the ratio for STUDENT APPLICATION vs SPOUSAL APPLICATION IS 6:1.

the only reason i am taking his words cuz he had been in this JOB/ROLE for over 14yrs.

Rest like others i would love to see approvals,DM for everyone out there..

this is just an insight info that not everyone knwz abt so i thought i wud share.

got GCMS notes
officer wrote summary of our relationship from first day until marriage and said the couple appears compatible in age, education, marital status and language.
reasons given for interview are -
- TRV rejection before applied for spousal sponsorship
- sponsor didnt return to Canada at date given in forms
-VO not indicated on the medical report
-No biodata on the back of photo-id
it looks ok, i think i should not worry
some suggestions please :)

2.) No biodata on the back of photo-id?

ohh its nothing
1-you remember when we go to hospital for medical test, we need to fill a form and name of Visa office. i was not sure, if i should put ND or mississauga ???so i left that box empty .(i asked them in the hospital, what to write and they asked me to leave it blank)
2- in application forms they asked to enter details for Indian identifications and i submitted my driving licence, i think i didnt submitted the copy of back.
but im not sure what do they mean by that exactly

So was I. A student for the longest time and then became a PR and about to become a Citizen now. I don't ever remember me or many of my Univ buddies (from India to be specific) getting their student permit within a week or two. It was more like 2-3 months minimum. Again, I am talking way back in 2001-2002. A decade later I am sure things have changed for better or worse. All said, let's hope for the best for everyone and that includes the current student applicants as well. Cheers!

When did you apply for the notes? How come your dates for sponsor return didnt match when you left for canada? Did you just made a small mistake? I wonder how they even figured that out lol

the thing abt lack of biodata information for the id... well we didnt even bother attaching any id lol it was not mentioned or needed or required in the check list.. as long you submit the passport, birth certificate and the marriage certificate. The national Identity number field in the form, we just said N/A

either way its not too bad good that you got the notes in time! good luck!
