ohh ok thats good, it means you were going to contact MP for PPR ??? ??? hope you dont have to contact MP and get your visa soon

My husband rec'd a courrier mail today (dated Aug 13th), asking him to send 'additional family form'. I already had included this in the application to CPC-M, and gcms notes didn't mention anything about this form being missing/incomplete. He's going to mail it express tommrw, we're assuming this will delay our application by a few months now.

yes additional doc request might delay your process but not more than few weeks you will get your visa soon

Just checked the ecas. They have updated the applicant's address to India's address. Earliear it was showing as Canada's address. Does it mean that they are working on my file???

Hello all,

I just found this forum and I'm really happy to see so many going through the ND office! It's much more helpful for me.


I'm a Canadian citizen and I'm sponsoring my husband in Nepal.

Here is our timeline:


Date filed: March 6 2012

Eligebility Met: May 31 2012

File Transfer/Medicals Received: June 10 2012

PP and RPRF Request: June 18 2012

PP and RPRF Received at ND VO: June 20 2012



And now nothing. Everyone else I've talked to says that once the passport is requested that it's only a matter of days or weeks. It's now been two months and we're getting worried. We haven't received any other requests, nothing for additional documents or interview.

Is this normal?

I've been back in Canada since Nov 2011, we are tired of hugging eachother through skype chat. haha

I have been too busy this summer and moreover I am going to India in October to visit my husband. That's why I am not super anxious about this immigration process as I am more concentrated over my trip......Just fyi

If you are from Nepal, ND will send your pp to canada consular office in nepal and you can write one authorization letter for your parents to collect your pp.
but i would suggest you to ask for extension for ppr to prevent any hurdle in case of interview. if you submit your pp now and got interview invitation, you will have to ask ND to send your pp to your parents then your parents will have to send pp to USA.
you have two options and you can pick any one

Hello friend thanks for your reply. Yes I m from Nepal n will be sending my family to pick the passport. I have one concern pls give me an idea. I am using a consultant who has offices both in Canada and in Nepal . My ecas stat shows my consultant address in Canada do I need to change that address to the one in Nepal or do I simply not worry about it because either way new Delhi will send pp back to consular office in Nepal and not to individuals mailing address. Any idea.
