Hi everyone.

I am a UK Citizen. I got married last year in Canada with my wife who is a Canadian citizen. We decided to move back there a few months later as we couldnt make it work in the UK. I sent my application for PR in January this year, and it is still in process.

In June my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I immediately booked a ticket back to the UK to take care of her. Now shes all the treatment and I want to come back to Canada, but have now found out that because I applied for PR inside of Canada which meant I wasnt supposed to leave the country.

Ive heard that if i tried to go back to Canada now I could be rejected at immigration.

What I need to know is how and when can I go back to Canada? Can I apply for a work permit and reapply when I get back there?

Please any help will be helpful.

Thanks

As UK citizen you are visitor visa exempt. As long as you have a return ticket you should have no problems boarding a flight. Just have proof of the sponsorship if you are referred to Immigration.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Do u know if that will have affect on my PR application in process right now, even though I applied for it within Canada?
