Hello,

I have been living in the US for the last 9 years. I applied for Canadian PR in 2020 through Express Entry and did a soft landing in 2021. I came back to the US after spending a week in Canada. My card is expiring in Aug 2026. Can I renew my PR card if I decide to relocate to Canada? (I didn’t complete the 730-day requirement)

Once you meet RO, yes.

If you want to keep PR status, you should aim to move to Canada as soon as you can. As of now, you have a good chance of entering Canada without being reported. As you get close to the August 2026 date, the chances of being reported generally go up.

Once you have moved to Canada, you will need to live here for 2 years and then you will be able to renew your PR card.
