What are you going on about ? They can only claim CERB if they lost their job because of covid . Early cancellation of a work contract is not reason to apply for CERB

All EI applications are being considered under CERB. If you lost your job during lock down it is condered because of covid and CRA doenst ask you to prove if it was because of covid. They only look for ROE if the person is laidoff. Many employers are making use of this loophole to save money. Also many employees are being sent on furloughs just to access CERB payments and so employers can save salaries for covid era survival
