ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

Yes, almost 8 weeks for me too. Very disappointing. I am guessing some of the people (like IceTea perhaps) got their visa, since we dont hear from them so much any more.

Hi,

I applied for Canada Work Permit visa and dependent visa for my wife and kid in Nov 2012 from New Delhi. We had our medical test reports sent by 27th Dec from Max Hospital. Till date, there is no update on vfs site and it still shows the status as "Passport under process".

I have heard from some people that once the medicals are done, visa gets stamped in 5-10 working days. But we have been waiting for more than a month after medicals and there is still no update.

Is there any change in status on vfs once the medical reports are received? We have not seen any such status change after our medicals.

Anybody having any info on work permits processing time for those who applied in Nov/Dec 2012 ? Anybody else facing such delays?

We have also inquired the High Commission but no response from them either.

Any information on this will be really appreciative.

Hi.i am still waiting for the visa mate.i am just being patience as we don't have any options rather than waiting.so I will update my status if I get any response from them immediately.so guys please be hopeful on your application it will surely hit us in the right time. Good luck to all...

Nervous......... :'( I have resigned my present job in India and today is my last working day.
It has been 6 weeks since i applied. Fearing of becoming unemployed if work permit gets delayed by 2-3 months

We should know whats happening to plan for alternate things. Uncertainity isnt good for anyone.

It feels like they have slowed down even more than before in the last 10-15 days. Yes, even I am in danger of losing the job in Canada. They can only wait a limited time, even though they know that it is not in my control

i am already in the same situation, it has been 1 month since i left my job.
Cant explain how frustrating it is , i have lost all hopes of my visa and am planning to look for new job.

guys what does : UCI and Application number means. i got automatic email having these 2 numbers.

Neetu did her medicals on 7th November... no news to her yet... on the other hand... there were medicals completed in early January... such as mitsha, Laxmi, prykaul... prykaul did hers from Max in Delhi... they all have their passports back with visa... i did my medicals yesterday (Max Delhi)... your situation is making me scared....

"Passport released by the Canadian High Commission, 7/8 SHANTIPATH, CHANKYAPURI, -, NEW DELHI, Pin:110021, Tel: on 31/01/2013 and is in Transit."

congrats....but u got no email from the consulate/vfs?
