I don't think it's a bad thing. His PR just has to be processed differently. They will contact you when the decision is made so that you can buy the flight ticket from IOM and also issue to travel document. You just have to reply to the VO with the letter agreeing to processing of your husband's application, and then wait to hear from them in a few months or maybe even sooner!

If you have more questions, please start a new topic so some of the more experienced people can be able to advise you on your case. there's a wealth of knowledge in these forums. Posting a new topic will give you more visibility and more replies as well.

But I don't think you have anything to worry about. You have done your part, and if anything else is required of you, you will be notified by the VO. All will be well!

Hey Meena. Why? You haven't emailed them to ask yet?

I remember reading somewhere that sometimes it stays like that and changes once the ecas status changes to " application in-process"

However, I would still suggest emailing them just so they no.

Hope it appears soon.

No i didn't want to bother them just tryn to be patient but maybe I will just to see if they received my file. Did you send them an email?

Hey Falmaaa,

You haven't done your medical? Why? Some people do upfront medical. Makes the process a bit fast I believe.

If file has been transferred already, I would urge you to go get them done. Don't wait for them to request it from you. Time buddy!!!!:) :) :) :)

Hello Meena, I didn't send them because haven't gotten there yet. I read somewhere either in this forum or the "Nairobi applicant 2013" one.

Hope you see changes soon.:)

Thanks buddy but i called cic here in canada to ask some information about it and said that i'll receive a medical request thats y i had to wait , even my wife went to IOM in ethiopia and told her she have to have a uci # to get it done or they will give their number so i didn't wanted that as makes things a bit harder i just want to go with her uci number again wondering that is that okay doing her exam with out there number ( cic nairobi) ?

You said file has been transferred already right? She can still use your uci for reference. In fact, you can use both your UCI and he file number hat you normally gt once you get AOR.
I wouldn't worry about the confusion. It's very unlikely that they'll mix them up.

Good luck
