NAIROBI OUTLAND APPLICANTS 2014

Hi all,

I have tried searching for any posts relating to the NAIROBI OUTLAND APPLICANTS, but do not see any recently updates ones. I am in the process of applying for my PR and have almost filled out my inland application but was advised to look into an outland for Nairobi due to shorter processing times and since I hold a Kenyan passport.

The current processing time for the Nairobi office on CIC is bordering at 21 months after the 44 days of first stage approval. I was told that these times vary significantly, so I should ask applicants of their "real processing times" through the Nairobi office.

If you have applied through the Nairobi office, would you be kind enough to list down your timeline so I can make a final decision about which route (inland or outland) to pursue.

P.S: If there is a post on this, please feel free to direct me to it as I know how cumbersome redundant posts can get.

I am a Nairobi applicant November 2014 too..
I will be glad to know the same thing.
I have only heard of one outland couple-timeline start to finish was 12m

this is my timeline for nairobi outland..Just under 6 months
Permanent Residence
We received xxx application for permanent residence on May 29, 2014.

We started processing xxxx application on October 15, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on xxxx application November 16 2014. The office will contact xxxx concerning this decision.


after it went in process i got passport and rprf request following day October 16 together with request for new background schedule A form.
They received my passport on October 23, and took exactly a month from in process to decision made

Hello guys!!! I'm also in the same process from Nairobi. Online status says "in process". Recieved a letter asking for passport and have submitted passport. Does anyone know how long it takes to process the visa? It's been 2 weeks and still no news! Please do shed some light. Thank you.

Thanks chipololo! you mean a total on 1 month or after 2 weeks! That's great your status says decision made. Let us know when you get your passport back!!! Let's all keep our fingers crossed and wait for great news before Christmas!!!

they recieved my passport on october 23 2014, and on november 16 ecas changed to decision made..today tuesday november 18 they gave it to fedex. I will have back on thursday. So it will be a month from day i they got it, to the day i get it back. What a process it has been. My wife is jumping all over lol ..at that rate u wil surly get yours soon. They seem to be moving at a consistent time

Question to all, when you got your PPR was your status still saying " in process"? And did it change to "decision made" after the email of passport ready for dispatch or am I just misunderstanding it all?? Someone please clarify!! We have sent passport. Ours says " in process". That's it!!

got my passport back yesterday with visa and copr..landing next sunday..the total process time from beginning to end has been 5 months and 3 weeks

Hey, did your status change to decision made quickly after you sent your passport or did you have to wait a few weeks after sending passport??

it changed to decision made after 3 weeks from the date my passport was delivered to them

a quick question for you all. do you get a passport request even while you are currently living in Canada?
How does that work? I have a valid visitor record & visa.

Awmf2014.... I'm guessing from your posts that your in canada already?? You applied Outland yes? I applied Outland too as my husband is in Kenya. Still there, but hopefully not too long. Just waiting for passport to be returned to us. What's your story....
