We are 4 months in(since CIC received our application) and have not see each other in 17 months. I wish it were more simple. I could complain and from time to time I do. The reality of that though is it gets you no where but feeling worse.
I am happy for you! It gives me hope every time I see a PPR or that a visa has been issued.
It is a bit of a catch 22 though. When I see the way that each and every office seems to play by the rules they deem fit, not what is quoted on the CIC site. It might be easy for some but truly difficult for others even if the cases are similar. Perhaps your case was "easy", but does that give anyone the right to finalize your case before all those waiting before you? Again, it is great for you, it is not a personal thing. The system is, for lack of better wording, messed up.
And hey, if you feel like you have happy thoughts to spare, send some our way! I think we are going to need all the help we can get.
I am a citizen by birth, my current situation is complex, going to live with my husband just is not an option. That being said if I was a pr in Canada. I would have worked 12 hours days like a redneck albertan on the rigs, so when my wife got here she would have a nice place to live. Chinese live this way in their own country and see each other only on holidays, the wife in Beijing and the husband in Shanghai, sucks but it gets them ahead. Guess that's why China and Alberta are doing so well.
