These are on the low end. Recent Ontario vaginal birth were 7K and 9K if I remember correctly. C-section should be 15K+ with the addition of an operating room with supplies and staff plus 2 more days in hospital compared the the 24 hours of less with vaginal delivery.

Is there a rule about reimbursement for my wife's hospital expenses? My wife is due February 2 and her msp will be active on March 1.

Why does she land so close to her due day? She needs remaining of the month plus 2 months to have MSP coverage.
Before that all expenses needs to come out of your pocket. The baby after he/she is born will be covered but the mom will NOT until March 1.
None of the expenses will be reimbursed because she is not covered until March 1.

I think they applied outland and the wife just landed.
