Dear Javed,

It is not like NOC, it would be like driving record or driving experience. You may ask local authority / traffic department / licensing department to issue you the driving experience with seal and stamp, (need to be attested by Ministry of Transportation and or Ministry of foreign affairs, record should be in English or translated in English or French). However, these services are also done at Pakistan embassy / missions in Canada.
In case if you can't get it for any reason, still you will be able to go for G1 and G2 license.
You may check these links for requirements and other information about G1, G2 and G licence.

Hi Javed,
1. First thing: good warm cloth to protect from extreme winter weather, carry some skin care cream / lotion and/ or baby formula (if using).
2. Consult pediatrician for routine checkup before traveling and ask if anything (precautionary) required or to carrying for travel.
3. Vaccinations
“Vaccinating children for travel requires careful evaluation. Whenever possible, children should complete the routine immunizations of childhood on a normal schedule. However, travel at an earlier age may require accelerated schedules. Not all travel-related vaccines are effective in infants, and some are specifically contraindicated.” (ref:CDC)

4. Don't worry, all places are well heated and inside temperatures well maintained (public buildings, public transportation etc..)

Hope that helps,

Good Luck for Safe landing :)

Landing Experience of ItsBeenLongNow on January 24, 2013

Dear All forum Members and the seniors,
Alhamdulillah we landed at Toronto Pearson airport Jan 24th 2013
The landing experience was smooth, all the staff at the airport were very friendly, the immigration literally took
not more than 5 minutes and we were out of the airport in about 30-35 mins total
the lady at the immigration counter was very nice, we handed our passports and COPRs to her and she told us
that since we were coming from a long haul flight, we could go and sit while she finishes the paperwork
after which she called us and we signed the COPRs, she said welcome to Canada, and directed us to the new immigrants
counter where the gave us loads of booklets and information, after that we went for customs, they checked our goods to follow
list and stamped it and that was it.

hope helps those are planing to land :)

Hi sathi,

1. You are right, for dentistry practice you need to pass the exam and it is lengthy process.
2. For dental collage teaching job also required the license / certification from CDA and or Ontario College of Teachers. Information is on following links:
3. http://www.oct.ca/becoming-a-teacher

4. Original driving licence and driving experience letter attested from Ministry of transportation / foreign affairs.

Hi Mahen82,

I’m not aware about any standard format for RTO letter.
You can ask them to provide you the copy of any previous letter or template.

MTO will accept any format as long as it is attested by Ministry of Transportation and or Ministry of foreign affairs.

Dear hmisabpk sir
should we need english id cards from pakistan while coming to canada?
Regards

Dear Hmisabpk

Ok. I will check with them for the letters. Just another query to you, once we do the Credential Assessment with WES, do we have to do the redo the assessment through CASW(Canadian Association for Social Workers) in order to get registered as Professional Social Worker in Canada. Please suggest.

Hi,

These days the processing time is 54 calendar days for New landed permanent residents. My question in general how much time these days CIC take to mail our PR cards to our mailing address.

Because I am planning to give my landing and return back as I have to settle-down my affairs. If I did not received my PR card within 30 days, so travel document is enough for me & my family to return & enter Canada as second time.

Thank you in advance for clarifying this point.

I want to travel from riyadh to toronto, from here there is no direct flight all are via london to toronto and in summer (July - august) all connecting from London to US & then toronto.

My question is do I need to obtain visa during my transit in london & especially from US while heading towards to toronto?

Please note that during this journey airlines is also getting change.
