Mine went from a B file to and F file as well , first file was denied as well

If I understood correctly ...you won the appeal. In my case, I had to redo everything and I have no clue if the 2nd sponsorship will be approved.
Now I was hoping when your visa file number starts with F its because you are accepted... Maybe I shouldnt think too positive just in case it has nothing to do with it... I hate that!! :(

How long did it took you from the beggining of the procedures until the appeal received a positive answer?

Thanks

My initial application was on Feb 2009 so going on 2 1/2 yrs

They asking for police certificates now

I never got a B or an F number or an AOR for that matter. We got a letter from CIC first week of March saying that the sponsorship was approved and that the app was transferred to Buffalo. A few days later we got an E-cas update saying Buffalo received our app. There was an 8-digit "Client ID" number on the letter but it has no B or F in front of it, and it does not work for E-cas. The only numbers that work for E-cas are the receipt number (I made my wife a representative so hopefully any snail mail would come here and not to the states and we can see my info through that number) Also the client ID off my visitor record works for just my side of the application but it is different from the one we got on the letter. (I've been in Canada since December on visitor records)

We have gotten absolutely no correspondence from CIC beyond that.

Congratzzzzz

This subject got my attention. I sent an e-mail on Sunday night to the visa office in Rabat, Morocco. They received the application of my spouse for permanent residence on March 31. I wanted to ask them for some guidance. July is my vacation month and the last time I saw my husband in Morocco was in December 2010 when we got married. Since we miss each other terribly, we were discussing the idea of me coming to Morocco another time to spend one month with him. It would cost me close to $4000 to visit him. I got this money from a loan, but I am afraid to spend it in case we learn a few days before my trip or during my trip or right after my trip that his application is in process. I told them we don't mind to wait but that if we were not going to see each other before the end of September, then we would spend the month of July together. If the visa is approved before the end of September, we would keep this money for repairs on my house.

The following morning I received an email from the visa office. They said that our application is in queue for review and that we should keep our correspondence to a minimum. They also said that no further action is required by us at this time.

Here is what I am getting at... I saw in their subject line B followed by 9 numbers and next to it F followed by 9 numbers. I don't know if it is relevant with the subject mentioned above....

I figure that your file used t be a B file - B for Botox, which slows down wrinkling and any other action requiring exertion and muscle control. Now your file has been changed to "F" = F for fooling around to see if CIC can drive you crazy with meaningless changes.

Make sense now?

LOLZ :P

I went on ECAS. Instead of entering the client #, I entered the B with all the numbers. And for the identification type, I entered "Immigration File number". Instead of my name, my date of birth and my country of origin, I entered the name of my husband, his date of birth and his country of origin. What I got was his current mailing address and his permanent residence application status!!!

mikeyvr, mine was a file sent back after winning appeal and also got an "F" file number and can't access Ecas. My husband just sent his new forms which had to be redone and received by CHC-Islamabad. I hope it will mean a faster processing but the timeline on the 3 page form letter he received had 19 months timeline. We have been married since 2007. My lawyer thinks "F" file number will mean a faster processing because of winning appeal and so it might be treated a little diff than a first time Application.
did you get remed request yet??

Robyn

I have an F file thinking it would be faster processing , i dont think it was the case , my file went back to original office on sept 2010, visa office didnt received it until nov 23rd 2010, i didnt head from visa office until Jan 30th , sent documents requested and they were not happy with the documents and was notified on March 30th 2011 , a new documents was requested on May 5th 2011 , we sent it yo them on May 12th 2011 , so now waiting on what else they need,

Well lets hope our cases get completed this year. It would be nice, but I think we are put at the end of all queue when our files go back to visa office after winning appeal. It is unfair practice by these visa offices to do that. I feel appeal cases should take priority. Tell me where is the fairness of processing a marriage in 2010 ahead of my marriage which took place in 2007. I have already waited almost 4 years since marriage, plus the two years I have known my husband before marriage. I think 6 years of being apart is long enough.

Mikeyvr,

Did you send another medical ? if yes, did they ask for it or you just went ahead & send it without them asking?

I was just wondering, because Vienna VO already received the PR application back again to their office on May 3, 2011. My husband got a new police clearance from his country on March 2011 for appeal court hearing purposes. this is still gonna be valid until June 2011. What do you think, should I send the police clearance in advance so when they receive it, it is still valid & not need to ask a new one again? I also have his medical, updated forms (e.g. imm0008, sch 1, addl family info, photos, ARC) but Visa office didn't request it yet. Should I send only the police clearance for now & send later the rest of the documents when visa office will request it?

Thanks.

Mikeyvr,

...and also what's wrong with your Visa office, they are asking 1 request at a time? why won't they ask it all altogether? they are prolonging our agony....
