My background check wentt from in progress to not needed at this time

Yes. It happened to me too. It was changed from In progress to Not needed at this time today

I sent a CSE today regarding this status of mine, no reply yet. Will update you, if I get any info

At first I was very upset with this change of status, but now I see there are lot of applicants with similar change, so no need to worry.

BTW a friend of mine applied in September and his status became "background in progress" few days after AOR and no changes up to date. So this status has nothing to do with real review process.

Similar to my situation. BG has been in process since the start of Oct.

no change.. I raised a CSE and got an email saying someone is processing your application and we will ask if we need anything. (I posted the actual email somewhere earlier in the thread)

Maybe this change of status means nothing but psychologically it is a dissapointment, because you feel like your case was pushed back :-[

I would prefer it was "not needed" from the very beginning

Im in the same boat, I just checked my account and it said "not needed at this time" from "in progress"
