Hi Yours,

I think if your Brother in law is the one to sponsor your sister. It is considered to be a General Stream.

To be considered a close relative, a Manitoba Supporter must be related to the applicant (or the applicant's spouse) in one of the following ways:

sister or brother
niece or nephew (ie. child of your sister or brother)
aunt or uncle (ie. brother or sister of your mother or father)
first cousin (ie. child of your aunt or uncle)
mother or father
grandmother or grandfather
thanks for usefull answer

Hi
I would also like to ask if I need to put in my work history all the salary levels i went through since my first position, considering i have been working in my company for the past 15 years? or should i just input my latest salary?
thanks so much

During my own application, MPNP did not ask about the salary. If the requirements are still the same, then you won't need to provide your salary.

thanks so much for your quick response tabs179! btw did you ask the help of a consultant when you applied?
I heard a consultant in mega mall charges as much as 75K for mpnp applications
thanks

Nope, no consultant. They cost a lot of money and yet they still make mistakes. Many people are very helpful in this forum. Like you, I was a newbie once. Many have helped me, I am just trying to return the favour.

Thank you I'm also having second thoughts of getting a consultant because it does cost a lot of money and I'm thinking who best knows my situation and my chances than myself?
A consulting firm in mega mall claims that my work history should be "santitized" and "canadianized." and that is why their advice is needed.
I feel it is better to just be honest about my situation and then let canada judge if I am qualified or not, rather than hiding in sanitized documents which may pose problems later on, especially if one gets interviewed. What do you think?

I'm happy to learn that just by the kindness of other people who are ahead of the process newbies like me have a shot at it.

thanks!

Hi friends, I'm so delighted to share that I received my AOR today dated February 25, 2014 through email. Yey, thank God!

Hi 02clar3nc325, please update my timeline and appreciate your diligence in tracking. Thank you! :-)

Dear All,

FYI.

My sponsor was interviewed last Nov 6, 2013 and until now we still did not receive letter from them.

I sent a follow up email yesterday and got a reply:

Greetings,

The letter was sent to your mailing address on November 27th, 2013 by regular mail.

Sincerely,
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

I will reply to them that we did not receive any letter and request if they can send again the result.

For those who are also waiting for the result, I suggest to do the follow up also.

Hi my sponsor interview was on 3rd jan so should I email mpnp or wait longer? ??

I am not a big fan of consultants. I know people who faced problems with their consultants. For example, an applicant has been waiting for an AOR for almost two months. Upon asking me why it was taking a while, I asked the applicant to check the email address provided to CIC, and the applicant told me that he will check it with the consultant (he had no copies). The applicant then found out that the consultant's secretary typed his email address incorrectly. Instead of the consultant, who should get in touch with CIC for their error, they told the applicant to fix the problem.

Useless really, and I had someone ask something quite similar, for MPNP application, this time. And again, the consultant asked the applicant to fix the problem. Whatever for are you paying them?

You do not need to 'Canadianize' or 'sanitize' your application. All Canadian authorities are familiar with the differences, they know they are immigrants. It's just a marketing tool.

After this rant, remember, this is only my point of view. End of the day, it is your decision.

If things go well, passport with visa this week or early next week.

Don't forget to check your visa and COPR.
