Dear All,

FYI.

My sponsor was interviewed last Nov 6, 2013 and until now we still did not receive letter from them.

I sent a follow up email yesterday and got a reply:

Greetings,

The letter was sent to your mailing address on November 27th, 2013 by regular mail.

Sincerely,
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

I will reply to them that we did not receive any letter and request if they can send again the result.

For those who are also waiting for the result, I suggest to do the follow up also.

It takes about 6-8 weeks for this letter of decision to reach the applicants. If you are asking for another copy (which is long overdue) then I highly suggest you ask them to send it to your sponsor's address in Canada. So that it will only take 2 weeks for them to receive it. You will know the decision made by Manitoba and then you ask your sponsor to send the letter to you through courier.

Dear Tabs179,

Thanks for the suggestion, I will surely do that.

I am really wondering why until now my sponsor or I did not receive anything yet. It will only take max 5 days in case they send it to my sponsor and max 2 weeks for me to receive it. I am currently in Dubai, UAE. Last time when they sent me the acknowledgement letter, the date was July 26 and receive it Aug 6 :)

Hopefully, the content of the letter is good news :)

Thanks again :)

You still have about 2-3 months on your passport before you apply. It won't be a problem as MPNP isn't the authority who will issue your visa. They will only pre-approve your application for an immigrant visa.

You don't need to renew it as soon as possible. MPNP takes around 5-6 months (sometimes more) to be approved. Applying for a visa takes another 5-6 months (sometimes more as well) after LOA. Most of us renewed our visa when it was about to expire or after our medicals were taken.

..hth

Thanks a lot Tabs179 and Congratulations to you and to our forum mates who received their visas. We are so happy for your guyz, Cheers! We do really appreciate your effort in responding into our queries, your support and advise. We wish you all the best with your journey to Canada. :D

Thank you K33 for the well wishes.

When I applied for MPNP, I gave my sponsor's address as the contact address. That's why in less than two weeks after the sponsor's interview, my sponsor emailed me and told me that he received the LOA.

It reduces the stress of waiting longer, isn't it?

Yes it is. I also read on the other thread that it takes longer time to receive if the LOA will send to Philippines and the LOA validity is 6 months only and CIC application should be sent before the expiration. :D

That's right. If time is really limited, what other people do is they submit their application even incomplete. They just write an explanation or proof that the document requested is being processed.

Hi guys i have a question I am going to sponsor my sister but the principle applicant is my brother in law so my question is they are in family stream or in general stream.

It doesn't matter anymore if you are under a general or family stream. Since April 2013, MPNP has now changed their streams into one: skilled, under a point based system.

Good question. Well, I have no idea. Let's wait for others to provide their two cents.

I sent to them last week and they reply they sent the desicion letter in 24 December , with no interviews and I didn't receive any thing, i feel so stressful as I think it's Ineligible decision.
