I don't see why this will have an effect on your immigrant visa? Unless your visa is expiring very soon, then you should land first before having a vacay!

I am planning to sponsor my sister and her kids by March, but I need help on my queries below.

I just want to know based on your experience applying online, is it necessary that you have the full amount of CAD 10k in your bank account?
before they allow the applicant with less that 10k show money but should have an affidavit of support from the close family in Manotoba.
Also, did you submit with history or just the bank certificate?

Hi achieco,

Yes you need to show 10k plus 2k each for your dependant depending on how many are accompany you to manitoba,all must reflect in your bank statement.

Affidavit of support has been replaced by settlement plan 2 from the sponsor,you do not need to provide money but an explanation on how you will help your sister to adapt and integrate with ease in manitoba.
