Hi everyone,
I will soon be traveling to Canada to complete my landing as a Permanent Resident and I’m planning to bring my cat with me. I want to make sure I prepare everything correctly so there are no problems either when leaving Uzbekistan or when entering Canada.
So far I have already done the following:
• My cat has an international veterinary passport
• The passport has been officially registered with the state veterinary authorities in Uzbekistan
• Rabies vaccination has been done recently
• Other routine annual vaccinations were also completed within the last month
I’m trying to understand what else is required to bring a cat into Canada smoothly.
For those who have already done this, could you please share your experience?
Thanks in advance!

- What additional documents are required to legally bring a cat into Canada?
- Do I need an official veterinary health certificate issued shortly before the flight?
- Is a microchip required for cats entering Canada?
- Are there any specific declarations or forms required when entering Canada with a pet?
- Is there anything specific I should prepare when leaving Uzbekistan with a cat?
Thanks in advance!
