Has the background check started for anyone?

Doesn't look like it according to the spreadsheets. Since a bunch of us who hadn't previously received medical requests got them on Sept 1, I'm hoping that once the 30-day window they stipulate has passed they'll move forward with processing our group of applications. Probably just wishful thinking though......

Medicals done too but until they get a PCC from me they can't move forward. I wonder how long it will take after they start background checks...

I submitted my PCC on 21 June and as far as I know my background check still hasn't started

hi guys,

a question for you guys.
here is my time line.

Done:
- application package received by CIC on May 1st
- Linked Application on May 26th
- Medical Exam Completed June 23rd & passed on June 29th
- Schedule A requested via Email from Mississauga on Sept19 and sent on Sept 20th

To Be Done:
- Police Certificate upload
- AOR2
- Additional supporting document upload if required
- Approval for PR
- Home Sweet Home~!

i submitted the application package on May 1.
couple days ago, i got an email from Mississauga office saying to submit the Schedule A IMM 5669.
There were nothing about the request on my GC Account. only request was via email.
the email said to send only the requested doc which was Schedule A. It didnt ask to submit PCC.

My question is:
- Is this normal way to request for Schedule A? only through email?
- it has been five months from submitting the application PKG to receiving an request for Schedule A.
From my looking through the forum, this seems like a long period time between the two.
should this 'long period' and 'request from email' raised for concern?
im basically concerned whether my application is in a proper progress with immigration.

We were told our app was being transferred to Ottawa June 1st. We received an email on September 12th stating our application was being processed in Mississauga.

Background check supposedly started mid-June.

I never received that email. I found out by calling. No clue what is happening with my app

I heard it takes about a month to get the notes. Is that correct?
