Question guys

Somebody has an experience wit the web form to contact CIC (we are waiting since 11 months now) ? and they receive a positive answer after ?

I have experience with the web form regarding submission of extra documents which has always given me a reply. However, requests for status updates, I believe, won't be responded to if you're still within 12 months of the application being received.

not for me - we are on a very similar timeline (my BGC started April 6), so I'll monitor yours with interest!

I'd guess on average people look to be waiting 6-8 weeks from BCG to DM at the mo, but who knows!

My GCkey updated this morning to say they're reviewing the additional documents I provided. I didn't provide any documents recently, so I'm guessing (hoping) that the full review is taking place! Could you check through this week if yours says / will say the same thing?

hey everyone, quick question to know if anyone has been through this or not. my application was received Dec6th, i did everything that was asked and have been patiently waiting, with still no BGC starting. One thing that might have delayed my application was the medical, i got the test done about 25 days after the request, but the office wasnt able to upload it for another week after that, so CIC sent me a reminder saying that i had another 30 days to upload it. After this, everything went ok, but i'm still waiting for my background check to start. GCkey also says my action is required, but i emailed them and they said i don't need to do anything.

Another thing is that ECAS went in process May 18th, but looking at everyone from Mississauga VO, this only happens after BCG, and right before DM.

Here is my timeline:
Application Received: December 6, 2017
AOR1: January 25, 2018
Schedule A & PCC Request: January 26, 2018
SA letter: March 2, 2018
Medical Request: February 23, 2018
Letter informing app will be processed at CPC Mississauga: February 23, 2018
Medical Done: March 21, 2018
Medical Reminder note: March 26, 2018
Medical Uploaded & Passed: April 5th 2018

I’d say that if your ECAS shows “In Process”, that means the BGC has started.
Check your ECAS and see if another line has been added saying “We started processing your application on xx/xx/2018.

Don’t take this for granted though, you may wanna search a bit more and see if I am right.

Thanks, i just checked and there is no line item to say anything has been processed. The latest one was "Medical Results have been received." I'll keep checking on it and hoping that it's on track with everyone else from December, should get DM soon

Have you received:
Any email?
SA email?
Medical Request?
Schedule A/PCC Request?

If not, then you will receive an email whithin the next 20 days.
They will confirm that the Sponsor has been approved SA email if eligible.
Then they will ask you to undergo the Medical Exam and submit the result if not done already.
Then you have to provide them with Police check PCC if not done already.
A request to pay for PR fee RPRF.
And also if any documents are missing from your application, you have to submit them again.

AOR1 usually arrives under 60 days.

At this stage it’s hard to tell that your application will be processed in CPCM(Mississauga).

At the time of file transfer, if your local VO(Visa Office) is busy, CPCM might decide to deal with your application in Mississauga.

I'm the sponsor, Canadian citizen. I very recently gave birth to our child so my pregnancy and due date was shown in the application. My husband is from Morocco.
