I took the test at the Mississauga office earlier today. Passed it with 20/20 and the interview was quite standard (took about 10 minutes). The officer said she has no concerns and told me to expect the oath invite 1-2 months from now. Status of ECAS still IP. It was a long wait from IP to test invitation.

IP: Feb. 7, 2018
Test invite: Nov. 9, 2018

Are you a Mississauga applicant? (asking because you have mentioned that your ceremony is in Toronto?)

Yeah, I was just saying to a friend yesterday. My application has really been around! I am a Mississauga applicant. My file was sent to Scarborough and that’s where I had my test. When I called last week, it was still in Scarborough. Now, I got oath in Toronto.
Also, yes, I had sent a web form about my vacation in August and got test invite in a few days. Again, last week I called because it was past 12 months and less than a week later, got my oath invite.

is anyone still waiting for a test invite and has applied back in October/November/December of 2017?

Im September 2017 applicants. Still in process. Almost, 1 year 3 months. I called their call center and representative said office is busy and that my application consider routine. However, i don't know if they talk about facts or just myths.

All they can tell you is just read from the same script - how else can it sound the same no matter who answers your call? Anyway…… It will be 1 year and 2 months for me in less than 10 days, still no test. But I just found out my files were transfer from Mississauga to Scarborough a couple of weeks ago, at least someone has finally touched it , even though it may just be from the bottom of one big pile to the bottom of another big pile ...

My son completed a master's degree in electrical engineering in Canada two years ago. He did not travel anywhere because the passport expired two years and permanent residence for a year and a half. His request was on 4 December 2017. He feels. Go under And very sad in Canada. There is no work that does not have a nationality. Nothing moves. I am also very sad for him because he was very optimistic that he would find. Canada has all his hopes

I too had test in Scarborough on Sept 12 and still waiting for oath invite.

Sent Applications --> November 27, 2017
Application received --> November 28, 2017.
Acknowledging receipt --> January 22, 2018.
Application processing --> February 7, 2018.
Randomly selected for quality assurance (PPQ-QAE) --> February 22, 2018.
Sent all documents as requested by CIC --> March 27, 2018
Citizenship test --> November 22, 2018
Notice for Oath --> November 27, 2018
Oath ceremony scheduled --> December 11, 2018

Hope this helps others get timeline approximation.

My file changed from IP to decision made on Nov. 28, the day after my test. Emailed oath invite came on the November 30 for December 13, 2018. I was selected for PPQ-QAE sometime in early March 2018 and was able to send all the required additional documents before the set deadline. I felt really drained, stressed and hopeless that time. A lot of the documents were really difficult to obtain due of the extreme bureaucracy and red tape in my country of origin. I think even if you've been selected for PPQ-QAE but were able to submit them on time, there shouldn't be a significant delay in the processing. As long as your application is generally straightforward it should go through. I feel like Mississauga is more efficient than Scarborough.

I agree that the PPQ-QAE does not make a lot of delays since I was also selected for the same. But I agree that collecting all documents was quite a task. I think the CIC is taking special efforts to not delay applications for PPQ-QAE applicants since it really a lot of work for them as well to scrutinize all information mentioned.
