I received invitation for oath today for 28th Nov 2019.

Test was done on 14th September Mississauga office.

However I am planning for travel in December 1st week to visit India. Is it safe to ask for postponing the ceremony for me?

Any Indians here who recently applied for eVISA for Inida, where you can apply online and get the visa in couple of hours/days. I see that as one of the option from the info on https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/. But I don't see that in google search because search returned results as BLS the only option.

Please help me here.

Well, it’s a risky move, but wouldn’t recommend postponing the oath, given that you’re in the country on 28th, and also, you’re from Mississauga, one of the notoriously slow offices. You never know how long it will take to get the second oath invitation.

Even though the website says you have a 3-month grace period for using an Indian passport after acquiring foreign citizenship, it’s still up to the discretion of the immigration officer. You can apply for a Canadian passport from abroad using your citizenship certificate I believe.

Suggest you do postpone your travel and apply for an express Canadian passport, and e-visa.

Hi all,

I am just wondering when you apply for your Canada passport, do you need to take new photos? When we applied for citizenship, we are required to submit 2 pieces of photos but that was more than a year ago. Just wondering.

Thank you for your input!

Hi, How was the test? What preparations did you do apart from reading Discovery book? What questions did they ask in interview? I am taking my test in a week.

Hi, How was the test? What preparations did you do apart from reading Discovery book? What questions did they ask in interview? I am taking my test in a week.
I've read Discover Canada couple of times. Then I've done the all 100 sample questions by Richmond Library portal http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/mobile/ and 500+ sample questions by IOS app https://apps.apple.com/ni/app/canadian-citizenship-test-2019/id1474568862?l=en. I've consistently scored 90% + in practice tests. Scored 100% in the real test. Above tools gave me good practice as well as I am glad that I know better about Canada, Canadian Polity, History & the People.

I am going to apply next month.

I have a concern regarding child IDs.
The application requires 2 IDs: Health card and school record, one of which should have a photo on it (according to the application guide).
But none has a photo.

What should I do now? Experienced members response please.
TIA
