ok this change the thing entirely then...
She has a multitude of tasks that she does in the company. An economic Bachelor degree and a 7 years of background experience in the field.

Thanks a lot for the reply though

ok, so we went through the whole noc system and the NOC she fits in is actually 1311.
To be fair the previous noc was even uncorrect because she is not currently even touching payroll.

Now here's a couple of questions...
We have created EE profile on january, 14 currently waiting for ITA.
We score 504. 509 if we change the noc code from 1432 to 1311.

Questions:

can we change the noc code now or do we have to restart the whole process ?
would this reset the application submission date ?
could we change it after ITA arrives ?
how will cic validate the noc ? do they read the letter of employment or the job title ?

Most important:

if you claim a noc that gives you points and then they recognise you into one that doesn't, what happen ?
they reject the whole application ? OR do they simply subtract those points you were claiming ?
so in my case since we would still be above the threshold the application would still be active?

thanks all for the help

You can change it now. Pre ITA you can change your application 100s of times.

If you can't back up any experience you are claiming points for it will be a rejection with likely a misrepresentation letter asking you to back up your claim with more experience. If you can't prove that then it's a5 year ban from Canada. Be careful.

You can but more difficult, you would have to write a letter of explanation about the change.

Yes, of course they read the letter of employment. Job duties/responsibilities are the most important part of the letter of employment. They can also contact the employer for verification.

if you claim a noc that gives you points and then they recognise you into one that doesn't, what happen ?
You lose the points. If you then fall below the threshold for your draw, you become ineligible. If you remain above the threshold, it doesn't matter.

What do you mean "since we would still be above the threshold..." How do you know this? And if you DO know this, why bother with the hassle when you can leave it off your profile entirely?

thanks both for the help.

- Kryton. We are not claiming anything without judgment. It's not the case of my wife. She has a bachelor degree (WES validated) in Business and Economic. She has worked in Italy for 7 years for an administrative and accounting enterprises. The problem is here in canada: her title and duties are very border line between 1432 and 1331. I read many tread of similar issues. I believe the letter of employment will clarify this aspect once for all. I was just wondering if you end up by being evaluated into 1432 would it be just fine or you get in trouble because you claimed for 1331.

- Jes_On. ITA now is at 475 (less ?). We have 504 now, so (+5) 509 doesn't make the difference. I was more trying to understand whether a claim for a noc while getting recognized later into another noc was going to just remove you points, or causing more serious issues but your answer is pretty clear. """ If you remain above the threshold, it doesn't matter. """

If you are wondering why I want these 5 points so much when I'm already at 504. Is because I m not 100% sure I will get 25 points for one of the points calculated so far. Moreover I will loose other 5 points for my age soon, so you get my point ?

ok so, I'm looking at my wife contract. It is written :

2. Job Title and Place of Work
Employee will be employed as Accounting Clerk and such other positions that he or she may hold from time to time. You will formally report into the Financial Controller or such other person as the company may from time to time designate.

And this is all it says in a total of 10 pages.

For what she actually does she definitely falls somewhere between 1431 and 1331, no doubt about that.
And if it wasn't enough she was doind same job in Italy for 7 years along with payroll and other.

Now we are going to change it into 1331 to get these points. Worse scenario we get cut those 5 points.
Does the submission date get change ?

For sure, I get it, it does not hurt to maximize points. Just remember if you claim her experience, you will need the letter from her employer, T4...

You don't actually have to submit the contract, the letter of employment/reference is the most important document.

For what she actually does she definitely falls somewhere between 1431 and 1331, no doubt about that.

Unfortunately, if her job title is Accounting Clerk - despite the fact that we always say "job title doesn't matter, go by the duties/responsibilities" - the VO will likely assess it at 1431 unless the letter clearly indicates a position closer to 1311 (btw, not 1331).

Does the submission date get change ?

I still have no idea what you are asking here. What submission date?

thank you jason,
we will have a call tomorrow with the lawyer and we will make sure to ask HR to clearly indicate in her letter of employment that she is a accounting bookkeeper and that most of her responsibilities falls under those list. It is actually reality so it's all legit here.

My question in regards of time.
If you update your profile does the date change to the last day you made a change ?
I submitted the 14 of jan. If I update something will it look like I submitted it on the 24 of January ?

We need to take a decision quick because they might call on the 25 of January as far as I understand.

Hmmm, I'm still not getting it. Who might call on the 25th? Do you mean, a draw? But it doesn't matter what date you update your profile, as long as you do it before the ITA...

I believe you do not yet have an ITA, correct?

The date on the profile does not matter at all except for the fact that it will expire after one year. Updating it will not change the date you entered the pool (as far as I know).

sorry for not being clear.
I created my profile January 14 with 504 points, so I am still waiting for the ITA.
So... I know they invite every 2 wednesday (I heard). The sent out ITA on January 11 so they should invite again this wednesday 25. So If I have to make a change I should do it tomorrow.

If I am wrong how much time does it usually takes from the profile creation and the ITA (if you are in the pool obviously) ?
